how to get ai ally hero chicken to drop item?

hi, i have been playing dota with the ai. To get the feel of the hero. It has happened twice already wherein i accidently dropped my item on an ai ally hero chicken. Is there anyway to make the damn chicken give back my item to me? It is really frustrating when its a big item. So please if anyone knows how to, please do tell me.

dude, i dont think AI buy chickens...they just buy RoR and 2 circlets if 5v5. how can you drop item into allied chicken if allied AI dun even buy chicken. Confused
