The Gem Of True Sight - More Uses & Recipies

After you dash out 750 gold you get this silly green gem and if you die you lose it. Now 750 gold does not exatly come cheap in DotA. And then we are not even talking about the 1 slot out of the 6 valuable ones that you need to sacrafice. Most of us use our own cool item builds and 90% of the time it does not include the Gem so if you need it you have to sit and top about what you are going to drop for a item that has not much use and can't be used in recipies. So heres what I am thinking. How about a few new items that uses the gem in their recipies? Here is a few examples I think might work:

Combat Goggles:
True Sight
Increases Attack Speed 10% (Because you are not affected by the dust and crap during battle you can react faster)

Binoculars:
True Sight
Reveals an area on the map(Clickable, just like the farsight ability)

Combat Contacts:
True Sight
Increases maximum visual range a little (Dont know how far u guys would suggest, lemme know)

I dont know what can be used in the whole recipe maybe the Helm Of Iron Will + Gem of True Sight

Let me know what you guys think I just feel there can be some more uses for that Gem that makes it worth buying.

pretty nice items and yeah, it sucks when you need a gem against invis heroes and u need to drop an item

I could see Vengeful abusing the binoculars right now to swap a hero from 1200 range.

nah.. gem is very important especially in early game, just dont let teh invisible heroes farm a lot.. just kill them so you won't have problems in late game..

hmm.. and i think all heroes with invi/ windwalk skill have low hp.. so you can kill em easily in early game.

it important to have gem when your opponent side got goblin techies..since he can plan t everywhere with those devil bomb.....

Agreed, without gem against rikimaru and goblin techies you're dead. But it sure isnt worth of money.......

That is why I think it is a good idea to add upgrades for it so it has more uses:-) Removing It would be really halfassed and stupid.

Goblin's Adv Goggles:
True Sight
Night Vision (gets a bonus to perception at night maybe?)
Drops a remote sensor (Like a sentry ward but smaller. lasts 200sec. Cooldown 200Sec)

i wonder if they will ever use gem in recipes in the new versions of dota coming out..i hope they do..it has its pros and cons

Blessed Gem of True Sight Idea

Blessed Gem of True Sight
Gem of True Sight 750 gold
Blessed Gem of True Sight Recipe Scroll 750 gold
Total=1500

Gives
True Sight
Gives true sight to the holder.

Holy Perception
Lowers the hero's missing chance by %60.(Including Evasion Skills and active skills like Drunken Haze,but not Backtrack and Dispersion skills.)

Second Chance
There is %40 chance not being dropped on death.

Im happy with how much the gem costs. It makes it an improtant choice to buy a gem and u have to be skilled if u want to keep it. See, it makes thing interesting like that and, if u were unable to drop gem . . . . . . . . . . then heros like techies and sa would be useless. (or loose there edge)
