I would like to say a warm thanks to TwistedFireStarter for reading the first one.

Last time...

Marriege proposal...All seems fine, his dreams coming into reality, then, gone in a flash. Atleast that's what he thought...


Rise of the Defiler

Edward stares at the burned remains of his house, his family and his fiance, he feels he lost everything. As tears were falling from his eyes, he felt something touch his feet. He looked doiwn and saw that it was Mezia, he was overjoyed to see her alive, he saw sparks flickering at their clothing, he quickly realized that it was the energy from molecules from the Boltic Weird that saved them from a direct blast. He knelt down quickly to assist her...

"Mezia I'm so glad you're still alive, let's go to a doctor." said Edward.

"No, let's just stay here, I know that it's my time." she replied.

"No, don't think that! You're not seriously burned, you can still go on." he replied in a tone.

Edward picked her up and assisted her in walking, then, suddenly, a sword pierced Mezia. Edward was shocked, he turned to look who was the murderer, he saw that it was a minotaur. The minotaur then went for him, he evaded it and then, he casted a lightning spell to fry up the minotaur.

"A large feiry blast, minotaurs, no, it can't be!" he thought to himself.

He quickly rushed to the center of the inferno, on his way he encountered giant rats, minotaurs, and pit dragons he fried each one of them with lightning spells. The closer he came, the more did the horrible truth slapped his face. When he reached the center, he saw the unthinkable, he was death to the people who messed with the guilds, and he is awakened, and all those horrors will come to life once again. He is Rakdos, the Defiler.

Edward angered by the death of his fiance and family went straight to charge the demon with his strongest lightning spell, but his effort were futile. When the Defiler turned to face him, he said:

"Hahahahahaha...that was an effort but it's no use, take this!" casts a fire(inferno, actually) spell.

Edward, reacts quickly and then casts a shielding spell. He was then blown away to a far away alley where some goblins were gambling...

"Hmm...this punk ruined our session, kill him!" said one goblin.

"yeah!" "get him!" "hold his arm!" "get his leg!" "<Censored!>"

The goblins teamed up to beat him up, punching him, kicking him, pulling his hair...Then, one goblin brought out a knife, just as they were about to stab him, a screeching sound was heard. Then every goblin ran away, and Edward saw a griffin above him, then shouts a loud "thank you." He then, walks to Nivix, sadly, and almost hopeless, for all he has left is himself, his knowledge, his guild, and four gold coins in his pocket.

When he got to Nivix, he bumped into two guards that blocked his way, they can't recognize him due to his wasted look, they said:

"You must be an Izzet Guild member or a genius seeking the audience of the Firemind(Niv-Mizzet) to get in." said one guard.

"I am Edward Zelts, I come to speak to the Firemind" he replied.

"Listen here you mad man, you can pretend all you want, but we won't buy it, any corporal persuaisive action will lead you to Grozoth sewers, courtesy of our Petrahydroxes(a breed of weird)." said another guard, then he summons a Petrahydrox.

"I told you, I'm Edward Zelts, you want me to prove it!?" he replied in an angry and an arrogant manner, then he summons a Boltc Weird by a nearby fountain.(Boltic Weirds look very simillar to Steamcore Weirds)

"Hah, mere Steamcore Weirds don't scare us!" said one guard.

"Let's fight then!" Edward arrogantly replies.

"yaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lightning strikes, weirds get stunned...

"A-A Boltic Weird, we apologize sir Edward, please come in." said both of the guards.

Edward enters Nivix, climbs up it's elevations and enters the room of the Firemind...

"Sir Niv-Mizzet, I have come to get an advance on my salary, I do not have anywhere to stay." said Edward.

"Hmm..., you definitely need sometime to think this out, your family and fiance just died, live here with Nivix with me for a while." replied Niv-Mizzet.

"Ok, if you said so." Edward replied.

The next few weeks, Edward resorted to studying further to forget his loss. He would often fall asleep while doing it sometimes dreaming of Mezia, telling him not to grieve, he even speaks to her. Upon encountering a book on the history of Ravnica, he saw that many guilds actually run to Rakdos when encountering people who mess with them. This greatly bothered him. The following week, he gathered all the Izett officials and Niv-Mizzet in Nivix for his proposal...

"Gentlemen, I propose, that we gather sufficient military power and put an end to the cult of Rakdos." said Edward.

Everyone laughed and then a loud "SILENCE" was heard, and a fiureball was blasted in the middle of the table.

"Now, we will consider this. But Edward because of the mercenary role of Rakdos, the other guilds could stop us, it will be an end to those who are involve if that happens" said Niv-Mizzet.

"Hmmm...I will need to think of new ideas to get up with this" said Edward.

Well, yeah there wasn't much action on this one as it was the aftermath of his loss wait for part 3(I'm still thinking about it) I'll try to put more action in it.

Yeah it is short but you still got me hooked, now i simply can't wait for the next part...
