Dagon Upgrades

I've seen many guys say that an extra 1300 gold for only 100 damage is not worth it. If that's the case, why bother putting dagon upgrades in the game?

Well...... those guys are fools....

Dagon is the most powerful and cheap item in DotA....

At dagon 5, it has 800 damage, but still the mana cost doesn't increase.....

800 instant damage inflicted over range is ALOT compared to what some other items will afford you. So depending on your build and playing style, devoting a slot to an item that will instantly sap the fleeing low HP enemy that would normally get away could be worth the single space it takes up and the money you put into it.

They better spend the money on something else...

Well, for late games, when no more items to buy and you have dagon, you can upgrade it to maximize the use of damage. ^^, that's good!

I think Dagon upgrades are only worth it for heroes like Pugna, Terrorblade, and Ezalor. Much more ofr the former, for he has Decrepify. It really all depends. You have to use it if you find yourself in a situation wherein your enemy escapes with a sliver of life and you can't catch them...

yeah.They don't have finishing skills and dagon will help them...Dagon5 on these heroes only!(well maybe some others which i'll add tomorrow)

Really depends on the hero. For some, 8000+ gold investment on Dagon 5 pays for itself. For others, it's just plain useless.

I saw Axe with Dagon 5. Eats up all thin heroes on the map.

I only upgrade my dags when the need rises up, if I see I can't finish up heroes with level 1 dagon then I'll upgrade it, also depends on hero and enemies

well..i spend another items rather than upgrading it..though it is helpful with the heroez that have no finisher and weak in DPS..

Dagon 5 is a good item especially in close matches where all teams are fully itemized. So another option is to build daogons on crows. massive crows for massive dagons to maximized your gold. Crow owning in a game because of dagon is so much interesting. Its a nice strategy for that. Crow is good also to chase redlife heroes. They are superfast. Smile

I use Dagon 5 only on one hero, Furion.
It's amazing to finish up fleeing heroes with sprout, teleport and dagon 5 !

I heard of that crows, too, but I think it is much too expensive to get more than one crow. Build a soul booster for it, so it won't too fast...

dagon 5 is most expencive item in dota it sucks
3000 + 5200= 8200 omg
buy treads(1500) + twin basher (6460) for 800
dagon 5 f.u.
