I does work.You just gotta press in the middle of it.The same for allies press in the middle of the portal too walk through it.

I mean it keeps saying "Cannot use Dark Portal here". I know they made it so that you can't open it from your base and sometimes I can't use it from certain areas

Yes they limited the places where you can use it because it was too unbalanced...
I still think it is but most people still don't even know how to ENTER the portal so i think it wont be so exploited (at least for the moment)
I dont know exactly where you can/cant use it but when that message pops up just move somewhere else and you'll be fine...
If you have your allies with you tell them to follow you and i believe that's all there is to it

you can't open it from/to base.
here's the hardpart. ENTERING.
as you know, when you click his ulti, you click on the minimap/map on where you want to go. now, the portal is there, how do i get in? in the entrace of the portal<the one in your front> there are rays beaming. that's where you get in. click/go on/to the portal. be sure that you are facing the rays. now you get in and end up to where you clicked the portal would end.

>here's the catch. you can enter the portal once so there's no turning back. your enemies can see the portal from where you casted it and where it will end. when you click his ulti, your cursor will change to another cursur. that cursor<after being changed from the hand cursor> will be the one where your portal ends as you clicked it. so don't click it infront of you or your portal ends infront of you and will be useless.

Actually, entering the portal is the easy part, finding a place where it works is hard >.< To enter the portal all you need to do is right click on the glowing center of the portal... that's all! I guess I'll just have to try and find out where the portal works and doesn't works >.< Thanks for your help everybody ^^

i love and hate this ultimate. annoying as hell! but really helpful when Pit Lord is your ally yeah going through your portal on your enemy base is kinda bad :P

it's not bad. it's legal and the real name for it is STRATEGY! why can't people understand that? dark portal is the one spell and word that proves that it is pure strategy and it is legal.

@everyone: doesn't it work on the roshan area? i read from the changelog that the only place where you cant cast it is from/to base. it also cant be casted on places where there r things blocking the portal's entrance/exit
