oh a pro asking for advice... really? that's convincing enough..

well, i guess a pro team or unit needs:
for Int Heroes:
-have disables, have nukes, have support skills, preferrably mass or AOE spells. early game strong is also preferred since most pro games doesn't last that long.
for Agi Heroes:
-mid to late game type, has no hassle with farming, has survivablility early, and can prove to be useful in mid to late games.
for Str Heroes:
-very important on 5on5, these heroes usually are the survivors when two teams collide, the more tank the better, preferrably, heroes with a decent killing skill or a disable is better than heroes that are tanks but doesn't have any other good points.

Great Lane Controlling, that's what they say..
in 3 lanes, i prefer 1-3-1, depends on what side you're on..

There are too many combinations of hero that your team can use, so its too much hassle to name those..

A usual line up consists of

1-2 Initiators (Sand King, Warlock, Magnataur)
2-3 Gankers (Rexxar, Nerubian Assasin, Vengeful, Lina, Zeus, Sven)
1-2 Carry heroes (Silencer, Akasha, Syllabear, Spectere, Nevermore)

Initiators - They are heroes with massive AOE abilities that can turn the tides of team battles. They usually start team fights with their ulties while their allies follow up. Some initiators can have dual roles like Sand King for example, he can gank and initiate at the same time.

Gankers - They are the heroes that run around the map killing heroes, good gankers have a stun or a disable and don't need to farm so much to start owning. Some gankers like sven and leoric can also serve as secondary carry heroes in case your carry hero isn't doing well.

Carry heroes - They are the heroes that your team can rely on during late game. Their job is to farm alot and own late game but that doesn't mean they are completely useless until he farms. Some carry heroes can occasionally help the team like spectere and nevermore.

It's up to you which heroes you choose so long as your team is balanced. Don't forget about laning too, form strong lanes to allow your team to own early and avoid feeding early.

tr3ncht0wn and fwii~

have the right idea.

you need good initiators, disablers, stunners, tankers and supporters

put it all together and timed right.

you will succeed.
