Is EOS ever really "needed?"

and by that i mean

In what situation or with what hero would Eye of Skadi go from becoming a luxury item to a necessary item

or

are there no such situations/heroes

i guess int heroes or heroes that needs an additional disable/slow

nothing much ... thats what i can think of Smile

theres a lot of them. heroes with hp/mana problem but doesnt want to get heart/guinsoo's to solve that problem. one like sniper for example-he's not as hp weak anymore, u can spam scatter shot/assasinate, and you won't escape from him with the slow and headshot. another is terroblade, mana so u won't have a problem with meta and clones, hp so you and your clones become insane pushers and ok tanks, and agi aspd/attack

EoS is a must have item for some heroes.Like these:
Anub'seran
Akasha
Ezalor
Dazzle

The best situation to have an EoS is when a Mortred is on the other side.

Most probably she'll not get a Butterfly because she has her own Evasion.

Frosted Mortred means no Blur.

No Blur means no evasion.

Blur is still active even if Mortred doesn't look blurred. There's a special command for PA to refresh the shadowy look, if you are concerned about cosmetics. The only way to totally shut off Blur is Doom.

Skadi is a necessity for heroes who need to add all 3 types of stats to suit their situation. I'm sure you know who are those heroes.

EoS is best with

dwarven sniper - spam skills, HP,chase and support
akasha - adds to his disables and makes her more DPS

Skadi is such a great item, and not just only for the frost attack.
It adds 675 hp
450 mana
25% IAS
Not to mention the mana and hp regen... It`s great for all those who have mana and hp issues, like mirana, kardel, terrorblade, and so on...

I find it useful to medusa, with additional mana, your mana shield will last longer, with more strength, you're more tanker, and with additional Agi, more damage and AS, plus additional slow

i agree, medusa seems like a hero that would benefit alot from Eye

@caspian

my theory is there are always other items you can get with certain hero's that will do just ask well as Eye. Eye is just extremely expensive.

really the only hero that probably needs it is Medusa.

She needs it because adding all 3 stats are important to Medusa. Frost attack being a plus. Medusa's not the only one that needs skadi. I see many pub players easily churning 6000+ items, saying skadi is 1000 gold more expensive doesn't cut it.

skadi is for agi's that lack tanking abilities, have mana issues and dont have a disable....i dont think you should get it with int types becuz guinsoo is a better disable for an int and ints dont have mana issues, and most int types shouldnt have health problems becuz they usualy get bloodstone or aghnims........

i get eos with other heros, but sometimes i cant farm it and i go for something chearper.
