Strat Update Error

My Techies guide has something on the order of a dozen additions that I can't put in the updates section because of this bastardly message:

"Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Look what I can do, I rock', which I am sorry to have put in earlier, and more o' at line 1"

SQL syntax!?? So I can't update my guide properly... Sad
