New Ogre Magi Build?

Well I used to rush Scepter after Arcane ring, but now it seems all up in the air.

Orchid?
Shiva?
HoT?

I usually play this character as a "luck spam" and support caster, but maybe that need to change?

Anyone got any builds that they have actually had work in 6.60?

Shiva's or Guinsoo might not be a bad idea. Aghanim's would probably come after one of them.

aghanim doesn't affect his ulti anymore

It doesn't. But when you buy it it says upgrades your ultimate...

you mean the tool tip that says the item upgrades your ult? or the explanation of the skill where there is a note saying that Aghs will do X, Y, and Z to his ult?

anyway, Guinsoo is still the way to go (still as it was the best item even when Aghs did work on him)

I personally like bloodstone and guinsoo on him because they add alot of mana and mana regeneration for spamming all 3 of his active spells

Guinsoo is basically the best item, tho you can try experimenting with force staff/khadgars pipe/necro

can go bloodstone, the regen and capacity helps alot but then again you dont want to rack up too many charges as you arent the carry so just 2-3 would be good.

guisoo gives good mana regen and capacity so i usually go for that.

Phase/travels and thats it really.

what about guinsoo and cyclone? ok maybe not cyclone, but guinsoo is a great disable. and, it gives u time to cast another stun. its like stun, guinsoo, stun ( again ), then ignite for chase. since stun's cooldown is kinda short. and get boots of travel. useful for supporting ur friends in danger. if u cant farm 2.2k for travel, then phase boots

after that i get bot, guinsoo, and shiva/orchid
never fails for me =)

First I get Bottle + 2 nulls.
His improved multicast now makes him an overpowered ganker, as long as he has mana for fireblast.
Personally, I prefer rushing Orchid as my first item because it is easy to assemble and doesn't require hardcore farming. It supplies plenty of mana regen, the soul burn is nice, and the damage/ias is cool too.
I'd still take guinsoo first, but only if you happen to get enough money to rush a staff. (Hex > Silence)

Then after those two items, I like BoT and Shiva
