Linke's against Guinsoo

Posted: Wed Nov 14, 2007 4:11 am

Most Int type heroes depends on mana, And mana depends on mana regeneration the similarity between this two is both have the same 150% mana regen/sec and the cool skill that these two have. Guinsoo has hign int and damage, linken however boost your stats and has hp/sec. Whats your trip

it totally depends on the int hero you're using... if you're more of the team support definitely go for guinsoo... the 3 second hex is deadly.... but if you're a hero like raijin thunderkeg the storm spirit...i suggest linken's to cover for his low hp and armor...

depend on what hero you using and what hero you are facing
if you facing nukerz...like zeus...its pointless to buy linken =_= i rather hex him or buy that resist magic armor thingy which i forgot its name..
but if you go agaist hero that have only one spammable nuke like skeleton king or rogue knight...yup that worth it since without stun they have less chance to kill ya XD

The Mana Regeneration of those items depend on the base regeneration due to INT.

So if you want more Mana Regen, get Guinsoo.

Also, Guinsoo and Linken's have different purposes. Guinsoo is for disabling, mana/mana regen, and damage [For INT heroes].

Linken's is mainly for protection. It gives a little bit of all stats, more of a defensive item.

if you're thinking of usage i'll say guinsoo is a better item as a whole

disables and all those added regeneration not too mention disable can be use to protect oneself and create a setup

but in comparison they really are not same...

If I were to judge these 2 on the basis of mana regeneration alone (which seems to be a theme of your topic), guinsoo definitely gives more regeneration than linkens.

We are talking about INT heroes here, right?

Then, the answer is simple. Sheepstick of GG. All of INT heroes benefit from Guinsoo. There is no doubt about it. Linken is rather a optional or even situational item than core item in INT hero build.

Nowoadays no one use Linkens. Even with buff from 6.49. I used to get Linknes for PotM (after mealstrom) but it only held me back with buying EoS.

Linken's isn't that reliable where as the guinsoo gives a very reliable disable, I don't see a situation where linkens would be better than Guinsoo especially on an Int hero.

I choose neither linken nor guinsoo, but soul booster. Better regen, pool, and effects IMO.

The 2 items are quite different - Linkens is definitely a defensive/survival item; Guisoo's is mostly aggressive; extra damage, and a sheep which is almost the same as a stun of that length... Just comparing these 2 on mana regen (which isn't similar) is failing to understand their true purposes. Their interchangibility is rather limited and for most heroes it's a definite must to have one over the other.

I think it depends on what heros are in the game. They both have their purposes, but I would go for guinsoo becuase the hex can be used both offensively and defensively. If the other team ganks a lot or has a lot of stuns like storm bolt etc, then you might use linkens.
