Hood of Defiance

ring of regeneration x2
or ring of health
planewalker's cloak
Helm of iron will

Helm of iron will gives armor,but when it becomes hood of defiance,there no additional armor!and to make it balance,hood of defiance also need to purchase the recipe scroll>500 gold.[/b]

the armor from the helm becomes the addition magic resistance to the planewalker's cloak that's 15% becomes 30%...

are you saying that:
8hp/regen
30%Magic Resist
5+armor

this topic is simply absurd, yes,the 5 armor is used to generate an extra 15% spell resistance,which is why tanks with amazing physical defense gets this instead of mails and cuirass

wat are u really confused on?
i mean do u want those 5 armor added and 500 gold = recipe to be added to HoD.?

Or do u want a 500gold recipe added to the same HoD>?

Because in both case i'm wid u.... I too find HoD quite imba...

i was thinking the same thing. HoD needs to have 5 armor. other wise its pretty gay. like on pudge like 2 armor and u alwayse get HoD for the stack and resistance. but then his armor goes back down to 12% or something. i think is should b added in. if 5 armor is 15% magic resistance then do 5 armor and 15% resistance then it would = 30% resistance. armor is a necessity

if HoD only has 15% spell resistance,80% of all guides made in all dota sites has to be renewed.seriously,whats actually the case with 5 armor missing?

Just get HoD and RoB for safety early game, it's enough. 15% spell reduction is more worthy than 5 armor because armor doesn't reduce magic damage.

The thing is, that when when you get hood, the reason is usually that your enemy is a heavy nuker. When your enemy is a heavy nuker, spell resistance is more important than armor.

i think people fail to realize that armor helps reduce magic dmg too...

I would say give the 5 armor because that IS magic reduction....AND..physical damage reduction...it is a good idea because just 30% reduction or 15% reduction STACKED WITH 5 armor (which is even more magic reduction)
