Lyseria - Mystical Dancer
Posted: Wed Nov 28, 2007 7:20 amLyseria is a normal gypsy dancer from the streets, until she was kidnapped by a sinister gang. After she was then forced to be part of the gangs fun, she cant help her self but be a part of it, then a weird voice echoes from her head telling her " do not be feared, for it is them that should fear you". Having know idea of what comes from her head, she becomes surrounded with weird lights and able herself to escape from the binds, she starts to dance gracefully, cursing the sinistral gangs, which turned them to criters. Eversince that day, Lyseria pledge that she will no longer do those things, but only to save those in needs that will suffer the same fate as her.

Hero Skill 1 - Gypsy Shift
Lyseria focuses her power on the enemy target, after selecting, she then becomes out of sight in the map and cant be seen by the enemy, your ally, even you. Gain a a true sight to the enemy that lasts for 3 seconds per level. Later deals Damage, and deals more damage if the target has no ally unit in sight. Stuns the units for a short period. Range to cast is 600. Channels for 1.5 second. Maximum boundary is 1200 range
Level 1 - Deals 100 damage, 75 bonus damage, Stuns for 1.25 seconds.
Level 2 - Deals 160 damage, 100 bonus damage, Stuns for 1.5 seconds.
Level 3 - Deals 200 damage, 125 bonus damage, Stuns for 1.75 seconds.
Level 4 - Deals 270 damage, 150 bonus damage, Stuns for 2.00 seconds.
Mana Cost: 75/100/125/150
Cooldown: 20
Framework: Shifts out of existence, leaving a dust effect from where she left.
Notes: can be disturbed by astral imprisonment, if the unit is voodood, gained repel, or has moved out of the 1200 boundary
Hero Skill 2 Dopple Dance
Lyseria Hates on receiving damage of any kind, thus she avoids them by creating an image of her. Can create of at least 3 illusions w/c deals 40% of original attack and recieves 200% damage. Illusions lasts 20 seconds each
Level 1 - 5% chance to dodge by creating image
Level 2 - 10% chance to dodge by creating image
Level 3 - 15% chance to dodge by creating image
Level 4 - 20% chance to dodge by creating image
Mana cost: 5/10/15/20
Cooldown: n/a
Framework: Blinks to a random area, and an illusion will replace lyserias in her last position
Notes: When you use manta style, and if you have 3 illusions already, then the first illusions that was summoned will be replaced.
Hero Skill 3 Voodoo Dance(Passive)
Every time that Lyseria Dances, She has a chance that She will randomly turn any unit or hero w/in an aoe of 600 around her to a random critter that lasts for certain period. Number of units that can be cursed increases per level.
Level 1 - 5% chance to turn 1 units in a random creature for 1 seconds
Level 2 - 8% chance to turn 1 units in a random creature for 1.5 seconds
Level 3 - 11% chance to turn 2 units in a random creature for 2 seconds
Level 4 - 15% chance to turn 3 units in a random creature for 2.5 seconds
Mana Cost: 5/10/15/20
Cooldown: n/a
Framework: Turns any random units to a ranndom criters. These creatures can be change to animal courier types like chicken, fel boar, etc. and the funny thing about his skill is when it change pudge to a random criter he will be chaneg to a little pudge courier look alike heheh
Hero Skill 4 Gypsy dance (Passive)
Everytime that Lyseria attacks, Gives her a chance that she will dance very gratefully Thus Boosting the friendly units around her in an aoe of 700, gaining bonus attack speed and movement speed that lasts for 20 seconds. Cap of 5. 5 Seconds Interval before activating skill again.
Level 1 -20% chance to have 8% Increases in attack speed, 2% Movement Speed
Level 2 -25% chance to have 12% Increases in attack speed, 3% Movement Speed
Level 3 -30% chance to have 16% Increases in attack speed, 4% Movement Speed
Mana Cost: n/a
Cooldown: n/a
Framework: gains a shiloute effect for units that have this and icons in their status bar

Bard Man had considered making a dancer to go along with his Bard Hero back when he started out about a year ago. Guess it was just a matter of time before someone beat Bard Man to it. CURSE YOU LAZINESS! *Hits self.* Anywho, this is a pretty creative hero, but it reminds me of the Phantom Lancer. Maybe you should try changing that second skill? It's not imba, but Bard Man is a frequent PL player. He does not like seeing copycat moves too much. Nothing personal buddy. Just the way Bard Man is. Over all, Bard Man gives you a 3.5 right now. Bard Man had to deduct a point due to lack of Story. He will add that point back after you add one.

Nor balanced: Nuke is to strong and cannot be avoided. A no brainer. Don't even nerf it, change it. Consider this: you cast this on a hero from afar and he can't see you and run away/dodge AND receives imba damage AND an IMBA stun? It is not a friggin' ultimate, dude! Think! 20% evasion and illusions? I guess it is an autocast thingy, like Puck - just that it has a chance of going off and consumes mana when it does so? Balanced enough, as chances are you'll pop up near him and he will know the real you. The critter thingy... again, it souds balanced. 20% (chance when you are attacked)+ 30%(chance when you attack at level 16) = 50%*15%= 7,5%chance to go off... Also there is the little matter of not hitting creeps. Cool. And the ulti is very nice. Just change the damn nuke.

i get the idea that 1st skill might not be stopped, theres alot of skills that can prevent this thinga majinga, astral imprisonment, windwalk, and the nicest thing about it is when you use town portal, lyseria will still follow you, haha neat right?

Imba nuke and three passives one of which is far too much like an existing skill. Replace nuke, make Dopple Dance less similar. Ult is good but you screwed one thing: cap of 5 is impossible to reach, do the math.

Then what do you suggest for the Ultimate?
Should i based it on consecutive strikes, or should i make the duration longer preferably 30-35 seconds??

@skill1 reduced damage, can now be interuppted as i included in it, reduced damage
@ skill 2 instead of stupidly blinking i just put a a summoned image when perfectly dodge.
@ skill 3 i havent decided what to replace. what do you sugges?

I'm not going to suggest that this go into the game, but I will suggest that everyone who reads this hero laughs. (not at the hero mind you...with the hero
) Mostly because of the 3rd skill. Can't you see it in your mind's eye?

No man... it's an imba ultimate like damage nuke with a stun and it's not avoidable. You can't run away, can't dodge and will teleport in from a great distance. Do you know Barathrum (he looks like a cow with a lantern thingy). Do you know what his ulti does? Compare and CHANGE THE SKILL. It just does not work. Why do people always have to make a skill that does damage (lost of it), also has a slow/stun AND something else in it AND something else on top?
My suggestion to you is to think far less of why a skill should do something and more of why it shouldn't. Some heroes are overly specialized and can't handle all situations, some are more versatile. A good hero should be a sure victim of about a third of the existing heroes in the game and should be able to kill easily about a third of the rest. Give a hero more dull abilities, or abilities that need construction and creativity to make use of. A simple (and IMBA) nuke, a dodge WITH illusions a rather rarely occurring passive and another rather dull "hit them and it will happen" increase AS/MS passive doesn't make an interesting hero. And a dance gimmick is not enough. 2/5
