Hi... I'm new...

Hi,

I'm new in the room.I am a new DotA player too. I have few things that I wanna know.

1. Which hero should I pick as a newbie?
2. Which items should I buy?

* Some suggested for sentaur / Lina Inverse / Zeus / Venomancer / Viper / Razor / Sniper / Manzix.

I played couple of friendly match with pals taking Krobelus. What's 'bout her?

I bought Boots of travel & Wraith band in early game; then Power treads, Eye of Skadi, Aghanims scepter; in the later stages I bought Butterfly and switched Wraith band with Linken's sphere for Krobelus.

I also like Traxex, Crixalis, Rhasta, Banehallow, Lion & Mirana Nightshade.

As a newbie I'm confused if I picked the right Items or not. Any suggestion guys? Did I get it even a bit or was I totally wrong? Hopeful Hopeful

Start with Razor.. He's flexible. Only 1 primary castable damage skill which is chain lightning.. Start with
3 wraith bands
Boots of Travel
Buriza
Butterfly

Sell the other wraiths if you have more money to buy big items

Enjoy and stay active here in DS Very Happy

hmmm well depends wat u wanan learn u should learn 1 hero at a time and choose the type of hero u want to focus on e.g. intel-mage type
agiility- damage per second, or strenght-tanking/support
Ill list a couple good heros in each category for u to choose all are easy and straight froward...

agility
-razor
-sniper
-stealth assasin

intel
-krobelus
-rhasta
-crystal maiden

strength
-centaur
-dragon knight
-treant protector
-omni knight

stick with treeant protector until you feel your ready for something complicated.

Hi guyz,

Thanx for all the inspirations & suggestions. I'm learning a lot from u friends.

I tried with Razor, u know he was unstoppable after buying Power Treads, S&Y, Radiance, HoT, Butterfly and Mjollnir. But one of our opponent scared the hell out of us by double kill with Rhasta!!! His shackles & ward are dangerous.

For now on I may stick with either Traxex or Mirana( I like Archers a lot). Any suggestions pals?!

I can't believe no one mentioned Ursa yet. The Ursa is a VERY easy to use hero, and also a very good one.

Good to see a new member! Krobs. is a good hero to use. Although i may recommend getting a shiva guard, to slow them down for your ghosts to catch them.
