[Armi Callid - Apparatus Cluens] Skill Explanation

Posted: Mon Dec 25, 2006 5:04 am

Here's the explanation for the skills of Armi Callid.

Item Hack
Armi takes time to tweak the equipments of a target. If she is successful, the abilities and bonuses of the hacked item(s) will be disabled.

Level 1 - 20% to disable one item. 5% chance to disable another item. Disable lasts 5 seconds. 2 seconds casting time.

Level 2 - 35% to disable one item. 10% chance to disable another item. Disable lasts 5.5 seconds. 1.75 seconds casting time.

Level 3 - 50% to disable one item. 15% chance to disable another item. Disable lasts 6 seconds. 1.45 second casting time.

Level 4 - 65% to disable one item. 20% chance to disable another item. Disable lasts 6.5 seconds. 1 second casting time.

Explanation: Think of this as a silence skill for items. When you disable an item, the bonuses/abilities cannot be used or won't be activated.

Example, you disabled Power Treads. The target will lose the move speed and attack speed bonuses. I

f you disabled Dagon, the stat bonuses will be removed and you can't use Energy Burst.

If you disabled Eye of Skadi, the stats, HP/Mana bonuses and the Frost Attack will be disabled.

If you disable Necronomicon while the warriors are active, the bonuses will be disabled but the warriors will still live.

*****
Suit Armament
Armi uses her current equipment to make a specialized suit that allows her to release an energy surge to damage enemies. The damage depends on the number of equipped items and their level. Ironwood branches and consumable items are not included.

Level 1
Non-recipe item and Level 1 Shop Item Multiplier = 2
Level 2 Shop Item Multiplier = 3
New Item Shop, Secret Shop, and Level 3 Shop Item Multiplier = 4
Level 4 Shop Item Multiplier = 5

Level 2
Non-recipe item and Level 1 Shop Item Multiplier = 2.25
Level 2 Shop Item Multiplier = 3.5
New Item Shop, Secret Shop, and Level 3 Shop Item Multiplier = 5
Level 4 Shop Item Multiplier = 6.5

Level 3
Non-recipe item and Level 1 Shop Item Multiplier = 2.5
Level 2 Shop Item Multiplier = 4
New Item Shop, Secret Shop, and Level 3 Shop Item Multiplier = 6
Level 4 Shop Item Multiplier = 8

Level 4
Non-recipe item and Level 1 Shop Item Multiplier = 3
Level 2 Shop Item Multiplier = 4.5
New Item Shop, Secret Shop, and Level 3 Shop Item Multiplier = 7
Level 4 Shop Item Multiplier = 9.5

Wah!!! So complicated!!! What does all these numbers mean?!

Let's look at the damage computation:
{[Number of items] x [Corresponding Multiplier]} x 25 = Damage

Level 4 Shop = Undead Acolyte
Level 3 Shop = Night Elf Wisp
Level 2 Shop = Orc Peon
Level 1 Shop = Human Peasant
Secret Shop = Leragas the Vile
New Item Shop = Priest
Non-recipe Items = Cache of Quel'thelan/Gateway of Demonic Artifacts, Beazel The Weapons Dealer, Sena The Accessorizer

Items from the Chimaera Roost/Graveyard are not included. Also, Ironwood branches are not included in the damage computation.

Examples of items and their corresponding multipliers at Suit Armament[4]

Buriza-do Kyanon -> Level 4 Item -> Multiplier = 9.5
Sange and Yasha -> Level 3 Item -> Multiplier = 7
Linken's Sphere -> Level 3 Item -> Multiplier = 7
Cranium Basher -> Level 2 Item -> Multiplier = 4.5
Cranium Basher -> Level 2 Item -> Multiplier = 4.5
Power Treads -> Level 1 Item -> Multiplier = 2.5

Computation of Damage with the given items and Suit Armament Level[4]

[(9.5 x 1) + (7 x 2) + (4.5 x 2) + (2.5 x 1)] x [25] = Damage
[9.5 + 14 + 9 + 2.5] x [25] = Damage
[35] x [25] = Damage
875 = Damage

*****
Item Mastery
Armi tweaks with her own equipment to make them better. Adds various bonuses and upgrades to the items.

Level 1
Stat-giving items give an additional +1 to the stat they increase.
Triggered abilities have an increased 0.75% chance of triggering.
HP regeneration items have increased 0.25 HP regenerated.
Mana regeneration items have increased 7% mana regenerated.

Level 2
Stat-giving items give an additional +1 to the stat they increase.
Triggered abilities have an increased 1.5% chance of triggering.
HP regeneration items have increased 0.50 HP regenerated.
Mana regeneration items have increased 14% mana regenerated.

Level 3
Stat-giving items give an additional +2 to the stat they increase.
Triggered abilities have an increased 2.25% chance of triggering.
HP regeneration items have increased 0.75 HP regenerated.
Mana regeneration items have increased 21% mana regenerated.

Level 4
Stat-giving items give an additional +2 to the stat they increase.
Triggered abilities have an increased 3% chance of triggering. HP regeneration items have increased 1 HP regenerated.
Mana regeneration items have increased 28% mana regenerated.

This is easy enough to understand.
Let's say you have an Ironwood branch and Item Mastery is at level 1. Instead of giving just +1 to all stats, it will give you +2 to all stats. If you have one Gauntlets of Strength, instead of giving only +3 STR, it will give you +4 to STR. If you have a bracer, instead of getting +6/+3/+3 to STR/AGI/INT, you will get +7/+4/+4 to STR/AGI/INT. Again, this is not imbalanced, as the bonuses lose effectiveness as the game goes on. The only important thing here is the increased triggered chance for item abilities.

*****
Kensei - Unlimited Item Works
Armi summons multiple blades that fall from the sky and isolate Armi and the target hero. The swords form a cage around Armi and the hero. Any units that are between them will be pushed away. While inside the cage, Armir gains increased combat abilities. Casting range is 500. Cage size is 800 x 650 units. The hero and Armi cannot get out of the cage by walking. They can use escape skills [blink, etc]. Duration is 7 seconds.

Level 1
Attack speed is increased by 10% per recipe item.
Damage is increased by 5 per recipe item.
Magic resistance is increased by 2% per recipe item.
Evasion is increased by 2% per recipe item.

Level 2
Attack speed is increased by 15% per recipe item.
Damage is increased by 10 per recipe item.
Magic resistance is increased by 3% per recipe item.
Evasion is increased by 3% per recipe item.

Level 3
Attack speed is increased by 20% per recipe item.
Damage is increased by 15 per recipe item.
Magic resistance is increased by 4% per recipe item.
Evasion is increased by 4% per recipe item.

Recipe item = means that they must be bought from the Human, Orc, Night Elf, Scourge, or the New Item Shop.

Now I finally understand. At last, a hero even those playing with the AI can use effectively with even in real battles. Though, that depends on their item knowledge skills which will be honed in real and practice battles. Very Happy

Your Ultimate skill is a spoof from an Anime called Fate/Stay Night. The move from said anime is called "Unlimited Bladeworks." Bard Man uses a spoofed version of the chant to cast it as his new signature.

Fear the Unlimited Bardworks!

unlimited bladeworks???
from fate stay night? i don't think so.. it sure looks like it..

but its more like Bleach's Byakuya and his Senbonsakura Kageyoshi, where in you and you're opponent are trapped inside an cage made of swords.. also tremendously increases Byakuya's battle efficacy.. anyways i don't know what came first, the bleach episode or this hero..

but the name sure is close to unlimited bladeworks.. huh? love that anime..

Alien

Bard Man hasn't actually watched it, but he has looked it up and played a WC3 Map based off it.

yay for you.
a hero with though and lots of numbers meaning lots of variable making it a situational and fun to use hero

^_^

i understand it, if anyone gets 6 level 4 recipe items the game is as good as won.

problems include no boots.
item disabling could do with a boost (dare i say it.) as a normal silence is far more effective (especially now with the new blink dagger of sure death to user)
