disapearing items?

disapearing items?

today i was thrilled to see a divine rapier on a public server that i stole from a king leoric... their team had put together the money for it becasue he was allready on a dominating streak at level 25 and they thaught they ahd won...
i kill him with ease, but i left the itme on the floor becasue i figured ide pick it back up in a min if i die as i was in the forest on otherside of the map and figured i would get ganked.

so i picked it up and blinked into unreachable area of the map(lowet east side in tree's, and drop it then im killed.
when i go back its disapeared?????

do some items have a timelimit on them?i know for definate nobody picked it up becasue i looked over the replay and saw that nobody else went in that area, and even on the item didnt show back up, it just disapeared suddenly.


has this ever happend to anybody else? does it happen frequently?

its a horryfieing feeling, you get an item that igve +250 damage on magina and your suddenly a tanker for the next 30mins. but it disapeared..

@Bishounen2k8 moogle dropped the divine off in a place only reachable by blink and then got killed later not in that area

an item just disappearing, that is weird, never happened to me but to loose a divine just sucks

i couldnt think of any other reasons, . .

havent experienced an item that disappeared.

No as in somewhere like... only if you blink can be reach it...just buy a blink dagger and when you are in your fountain blink in 2 the trees... for sentinel. you will get what I mean after.
