Dark Seer and Pudge - Lane combo

Just breifly read the techies and seer combo e.g.

Vacuum, Suicide
Vacuum, Mines
Surge, Suicide


One combo I love trying whenever a decent pudge is on my team is choosing dark seer and trying mid lane.

It doesnt matter that you are both melee, no need to attack creeps anyway. Use Ion shell on the 2ND ALLY MELEE CREEP pushing to attack and it will clear all the enemy creeps easily (incase facing a sniper with scatter shot, use on enemy melee creep). This solves the creep balance and gives pudge room to set up hook points.

First part of combo: Ion shell pudge once he is ready
Ion shell maxed 75dmg per second, rot maxed 100dmg per second.

Pudge hooks and hits on rot (most probably level 5 pudge), begins to chase. From there you vacuum hero back into pudge or other side of him if high enough level / range.

If you have level 1 surge, use it on pudge to chase with rot, 2second haste is more than enough to score the kill.


Basically this early game combo just makes pudge into a super pudge with added aura dmg (ions hell), vacuum back into him, and haste movement speed to chase with rot. Seer just sits back and uses spells, rarely a need to attack.

Most kills go to seer due to ion shell or vacuum, so shout pudge an item or 2 if he cries about it..


I haven't made it to late game yet with this combo because the enemies all rage quit.. sigh.. pubs


Thinking about doing a strat for seer, just have to figure out how..

Just think of using PUDGE normally except he does extra damage, and people can not get away as easily?

Yeah gondar and dark seer has been fun, if you go bot (sent) top (scourge) so you are away from their towers, bounty can stay invis with ion on him and hopefully the enemy doesnt realise for a while.

This is a killer combo. I have used this and it never fails. Once pudge hits level 6, there in really no chance for your opponents. All you have to do is put ion shell on pudge,vacuum them in and pudge ulties. At level 6 there is no hero that can survive this unless he has another helper. In that case it is the Dark Seer's job to distract the other guy XD. Another good combo with Dark Seer is weaver. You Ion shell one of her watchers and just watch the enemy's hp go down.

Dark seer can combo with anybody that can go invisible (iron shell) or any dps/aoe hero (vacuum). The iron shell on an invisible unit would be ahrd to notice. I wonder if the game would say the hero is under attack, even if the damage is from an invisible source?

the combo or should i say Pudge will most definitely benefit from Ish'kafel.

Their skills is all for killing, not much on the defensive skills, and a melee will always have a disadvantage early against Range heroes.

Lane Control, not so good though.

That combo would get lots of sure kills early to late game..

Not true... When I used this combo... most of the time I get the kill... For some reason Ion Shell seem to last hit XD compared to rot... lol
