This item is loved by some and hated by many which brings up the question, is it really worth it? Money-wise it costs: 650+1000+1350(3000) + 4(1350) = 8400 gold. WoWzers!

I've seen many heroes go for this item but only few make it to lvl 5. Assuming they have been racking up kills.

These heroes are good candidates to hold such a controversial weapon/upgrade:

Furion: with a 5.5 sec disable and good attack speed, dagon can be used as a finisher.

Pugna: with decrepify, a dagon would own.

Necrolyte: dagon + reaper's = gg

Nerub: dagon would give more firepower to his already mighty arsenal

TERRORBLADE??? I've done this probably once or twice and it absoluletly owns if done right. However the situation has to be right. If the team your on is able to win without TB acting as a carrier then this item will own everytime. Add a lothars in the mix. Just go to roshan, have him get you to about 250-300 hp. Then run and windwalk your way to a hero, sunder then dagon 5= 9/10 times gg , even some tanks.

I know there are some other heroes the dagon 5 would be good on so I posted this topic. Feel free to post about what you don't like about the item and why it shouldnt be purchased.

err well i dont think that getting it to lvl 5 is really worth it i mean cmon 400 extra dmg isnt enuf for a hero? i mean yea that extra dmg can pack a punch but not really late game and besides with that extra 5400 gold u could make a dif item or at least come close. that just my opinion anyways

yea it costs too much to upgrade it
besides, by the time you farm it up, it will at least be mid game where it wont be very effective

How???? you might ask....
this is how!
Maledict (the oft-ignored 3rd spell) at Lev.4 "Enemies lose 20 hp/sec, 40 bonus damage for every 100 hp lost during curse"...this mean the strat goes like this:

Paralysing Cask + Maledict + Dagon(5) = 800 dmg (from Dagon5) and for every 100 points 40 bonus damage (so i count a bonus damage of 320)
So:
800+320 =1120 points of damage. NOT counting any hits from your teammate(s)
Ideal for kill stealing *wink* *wink*

i think we can already consider levelling dagon to lvl 5 because of its recent buff

recent buff may make it slightly more viable..doesnt mean it's worth it..

i love Dagon 5..

i don't care about the buffs, or the additional others..

i want 800 damage asap..

why?

coz i love it when players says WTF when they DIE quickly, hahaha... i love hearing them complain and complain and complain..

2it 8000 gold ,i could just grab a DR which deals just the same damage in 4 hits or so

tinker........guisoo or cyclone may more useful,just lazer and missile,then hex or cylone ur enemy,then reload,lazer and missile ur enemy again^^,2(325)+2(320)=1290.........so u need more increase mana item like orchid,shiva.......scepter althougt it not improve ur ulti.
