to be good with pudge, theres actually about 3 basics, know how far the range/what cancels it,how to predict and estimate movement, andhow to counter lags and delays.

Haha
If you played Cs long enough..you'll naturally have a grasp of things like this..Magnums are a good practice. Shoot from afar with perfect accuracy and you'll be the perfect pudge hooker

lol?
I was..
when you snipe its just like when you hook..you move your mouse to a point where you think the target is going to be and shoot or you move your mouse (thus following) the target and shoot.
Or maybe you are not good at FPS and don't know. It's just my opinion mate but I'm a good sniper and a good pudge..so I'd say it worked for me

Hehe me too, I love sniping...I don't know but my hooks hit quite often..now was that from Pudge wars or was that from Cs that I managed to learn how to hook..I guess a bit of both.
Yea but snipers in CS are only good in long range and its slightly harder to aim without the scope if you use close combat with a sniper(say, you get ambushed). For pudge close or far the hook still hurts like hell =p.

Imo Pudge-hooking is about estimating your enemy's movement while CS-aiming is about fast reactions and a steady hand. The CS-aiming is more direct as you need to click exactly on your enemy to hit him. You won't hit a moving enemy with a hook if you click right on him
Anyway no need to argue. I see your point, although I don't really agree.

lol yeh..I guess no need to get heated up
but I was talking about sniping in FPS, CS comes to mind because that's the only fps that I ever played online and not cs but the skills of sniping XD.
'You won't hit a moving enemy with a hook if you click right on him '
You won't either if you use a magnum..because like hook in many respects
you only get 1 shot in long period of time (not like ak's where you have many shots per second).
oh well
thats just my P.O.V.
