[Suggestion] Archive/Lo-fi Version

Requesting an 'Archive/Lo-fi' version of the forums. Basically, a lo-fi version removes everything but the main content of the thread itself - meaning no more signatures, avatars, etc.

This helps people with slow connections (like me) to browse the website without downloading unnecessary things. Fast and efficient :3

Or maybe add an option where it is optional to view pictures/avatars/etc somewhere.

Try visiting any invision-based forums to see what a lo-fi version looks like. They have a small link on the bottom of the page that links you to the lo-fi version of the forums.

Yep yep, it eliminates just about everything but the posts and contents of them.

For example, compare:

http://forums.invisionpower.com/lofiversion/index.php/

And browse around to see the difference. :3

Yes, but the point of Lo-fi is to reduce what users needs to download. Meaning? Slower connections can read threads faster, since we don't need to download avatars etc, thus, enabling us to browse more.

That, and because I want to download while browsing :3

if using firefox you can always say...

View > Page Style > No Page Style

this should significantly speed things up...

but yes good idea, it would also fix the problem i occasionally have while posting.

its fact, posing in some places doesn't get you gold and in some post count.

this would be a good idea
it is gd coz you can choose
if ur internet is slow then you can view the ugly version
if it is fast then you can view the pretty version (current)
i wont use it myself since i want to see the pics or else it gets boring

Uh. All it does is remove the formatting - the avatars, banner, and non-post related stuff are still there so it isn't viable :/
