Damage cost

Does anyone know that all the damage given by items in dota are related according to the price? I found out that 1 damage= to 67.0833333333g a.i.(mithril:cost:1610=24*67.08333333333)24 is the damage that it gives.This helps a lot when trying to make item ideas for this site so that the item don't get too IMBA.

Ok so this is assuming we talk ONLY about damage increase items, no other perks...

Blades of Attack: 650g +9 damage = 72.222 g / damage
Broadsword : 1200g +18 damage= 66.666 g / damage
Claymore: 1400g +21 damage= 66.666 g / damage
Demon Edge: 2600g +36 damage= 72.222 g / damage
Sacred Relic: 3800g +60 damage= 63.333 g / damage

Acerage Cost per Damage Point: 68.0218 g / damage
Most cost efficient: SACRED RELIC

but if you look at Divine....

Gold: 7800
Damage: 250

Divide.... (a quantum computer will be necessary in this case...)

result: 31.2 [counter example]

so not ALL items work this way...

Your theory is seriously flawed - unless you're talking about basic items only. Take bfly for example - 6000g for 30 dmg.

Also, most item ideas are normally recipe items since designing a basic item is just plain boring. So theres normally effects or abilities that will help balance out the high dmg or lack thereof.

its a general math to show the benefit of having a standalone damage item in your inventory like what this guy said

the most damage efficient item is DR, 3800+1400+2600/250=31.2g/dmg
the most efficient item for price benefit is deso like shown here

assume a target has 15 armor(slardar reduction rate) it will have a EHP of 47.37, with deso, it's armor drops to 9, with EHP of 35.06(64.94 damage taken)

assume your hero has a damage of 115, with deso thats 175. assume that it's aspd is about 200%, here's the amount of DPS it will do to the target

(175)(231)/200=202.125(64.94)/100
factor that for the price

131.26/4420= 0.03 DPS/gold
