hey, i want to know when u r casting, no matter if the casting time is long or really short,

if the cast is stop (stun, silence, user cancel, or whatever) , in wich case do the cooldown will reset????
because it happend, but not always... so is a time in the cast when if cancelled it will spend the cooldown???

Depends on the spell ur using. If u fissure someone right after they walk into fog u don't use the spell but an animation appears. However, most cases canceling a spell animation uses up the mana and cooldown doesn't reset.

NO!

Because you just stop the animation then it stops the casting time.

E.g.:

When Nevermore casts requiem soul.

Sven stuns it.

The animation will be stopped then the cooldown will not be going.

nope, im not too sure though, becasue you can cast tiny's avalanche but you cant cancle once you ress the AoE, if you press stop action it will continue, not sure about hold :S

Most of the time the cooldown is not reset. Epicenter is an exception, among others(I think).

if the spell is a channeling spell, it will cancell if you get disabled. if its a normal spell, storm bolt, fissure, mana burn, etc etc,, the animation will go off but not the spell.

One of the most annoying instances of this is when you use HoM to transmute a creep and the creep dies before your thing hit its, thus your out of your bounty and forced to wait 100 more seconds.

Well, just use ur ulti whe your team needs it. Dont use your ulti to kill a feeder who doesn't oppose a thread if you're Rhasta and you got Aghanims.
If u got Crix get Dagger, and shift Epi your hero into the bunch, preferably after someone has stune the lot
Most important DOOOOON'T use your ulti to steal. Almost no matter what hero you are. Do what benefit your team the most and you'll pwn. Eeartshaker is one of the most funniest initiatiors because of Echoslam. Follow team instructions if they make sensel. If not, -bleep- 'em, and get the best score you can get

Usually mana cost and cd is triggered at casting time. Sand king is 1 exception

For most spells, even if you cancel, the cooldown still kicks in, so you are at a loss.

There are some exceptions if I am not mistaken. Not sure about the exact spells.
