Hood of Defiance

I just wonder if three hood of defiance stack. I usually get them in -wtf mode and it would just be a waste of money if I only 2 of them stack. Mad

They DO NOT STACK WITH EACH OTHER!!!
they do stack with skills such as spell shield,juxtapose and corrrosive skin BUT NEVER WITH EACH OTHER!!!

Pretty stupid for -wtf cause the thing that kills in that isn't damage, it's the permastun (or perma-silence).
Exemple : in -wtf with lion you will never use ToD just the stun.

linkens (if allowed) is such a better choice

th 8hp/sec regen will stack but the magic resistances do not stack

Just wanted to make sure. Can you get skill before HoD to stack?
Like Anti-Mage getting Magic Resistance before HoD. I heard they might have changed it.

I know for sure that it will stack either way, but I have seen people do the math and it produces more resistance if you get the item before the skill. I think it might have been from the magina guide, go check it out

veyr bad idea, thr regen will stack but you may aswell get preverance.

also a good idea is to get hood of defiance on anti mage as the sheild from anti mage stacks with it ^^

only the 30% will stack with the skill (so magina does not become magic immune with 90% and her skill, that would be imba)

lol, magina with a hood and bkb overkil ftw

and like moogle said, it stacks with magina's (and also pudges's) skills

I'm pretty sure it was in a magina guide so go check that out

also, I think somewhere in the library there is a thread on magic resistance and the numbers are all worked out

hood is possibly the best item in dota in terms of survivability, it just suits all heroes in dota.

Pretty sure you have to get the hood first for them to stack,(Skills)
or did they change that.

No they will stack no matter what order you get them. This was fixed a long time ago, like 6.41 or sthng.

No hoods will stack in spell reduction. Only stacks with a skill. Those skills are Pudge, Magina and Viper.

How do spell reductions stack? Is it like 25%(hero reduc)+30%(HoD)=55% OR 25%+30%*75%(the 30% is calculated from the rest)=47.5%. Whatever the way,
it is ABSOLUTELY the same in what order you get your resistances(if u have skills) unlike folechno said(seriously, what noobster said that?) because u count like the % of dmg u take(75% * 70%=70% * 75%, or for magina,75% * 70% * 60%=31.5%). So magina has 68.5% resistance with HoD and 3td skill.
