Posted: Sat Jul 05, 2008 7:46 am

Hey y'all. Check out my first Forum found hero idea. Gimme suggestions hope you enjoy thanks y'all!!!

Range: Melee
Move Speed: 310
Primary: Agi

Str: 17+1.7 Agi:21+2.5 Int:15+1.3
Damage: 31-55 HP: 473 Mana: 195
HP Regen: 0.76 Mana Regen 0.61
Attack Speed 1.6 Armor 2.0

Model: I'm not 100% sure yet, I want him to be a cloaked Skeletal Warrior (With a dark cape).

In the depths of its halls, the Lich King’s castle of ice contains unspoken secrets and guarded mysteries from the ages before the coming of the Demon race. Sneed is the keeper of the Lich King’s most guarded vaults. However, the Lich Kings halls were recently ransacked. Therefore, Sneed has been set forth from the borders of Northrend into the battlefields of Azeroth to retrieve the forbidden treasures taken from the confines of the Undead Vaults.

Skelefaction
Assumes the position of a corpse anywhere within a selected area. Upon assumption, the Dredge is healed and gains invisibility. The Dredge moves and attacks slowly during invisibility.
Level 1- Assumes a corpse within 150 AOE. Heals for 1% of max health. Gains 20 seconds of invisibility with a 70% ms reduction and a 30% attack speed reduction. 20 second cooldown. 1000 cast range.
Level 2- Assumes a corpse within 200 AOE. Heals for 2% of max health. Gains 30 seconds of invisibility with a 60% ms reduction and a 25% attack speed reduction. 15 second cooldown. 1500 cast range.
Level 3- Assumes a corpse within 250 AOE. Heals for 3% of max health. Gains 40 seconds of invisibility with a 50% ms reduction and a 20% attack speed reduction. 10 second cooldown. 2000 cast range.
Level 4- Assumes a corpse within 300 AOE. Heals for 4% of max health. Gains 50 seconds of invisibility with a 40% ms reduction and a 15% attack speed reduction. 5 second cooldown. 2500 cast range.
Mana Cost: 75
Cooldown: 20/15/10/5
Framework: Sneed teleports to a random corpse in the target area and consumes it. Becomes invisible immediately.

Haunting Strike (Passive)
Grants bonus damage and each attack will lower the target's attack damage for up to 10 stacks. When under invisibility can deal hits without being seen. Attacks deal bonus damage. Sneed will only attack a selected target.

Level 1- Attacks deal 5 bonus damage. Lowers opponents attack power by 1 with each attack. Can attack 1x every 7 seconds while invisible without losing invisibility. If he attacks more than 1x within 7 seconds, he will lose invisibility.
Level 2- Attacks deal 10 bonus damage. Lowers opponents attack power by 2 with each attack. Can attack 2x every 9 seconds while invisible without losing invisibility. If he attacks more than 2x within 9 seconds, he will lose invisibility.
Level 3- Attacks deal 15 bonus damage. Lower opponents attack power by 3 with each attack. Can attack 3x every 11 seconds while invisible without losing invisibility. If he attacks more than 3x within 11 seconds, he will lose invisibility.
Level 4- Attack deals 20 bonus damage. Lowers opponents attack power by 4 with each attack. Can attack 4x every 13 seconds while invisible without losing invisibility. If he attacks more than 4x within 13 seconds, he will lose invisibility.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Framework: Each Haunting Strike looks just like the Rikimaru’s Backstab, except there is no hero seen (by the foe) dealing the damage. When invisible, Sneed only attacks on command but also only stops attacking on command. If he hits consecutively beyond the limit, he becomes visible.

Forceful Infusion
Assumes the position of a greatly weakened unit within an AOE and destroys it from the inside out. This assumption deals damage in an AOE equal to a percent of Sneed’s regular attack. Can also target a weakened hero, but will not destroy it, only appear next to it and deal the AOE dmg.

Level 1-Assumes a creep under 10% hp within an AOE of 200 and destroys it. Deals damage in that same area equal to 25% of regular attack. Can be used on a hero with less than 20%, dealing 25% of regular attack in a 200 AOE. Cast range of 600.
Level 2-Assumes a creep under 20% hp within an AOE of 200 and destroys it. Deals damage in that same area equal to 50% of regular attack. Can be used on a hero with less than 40%, dealing 50% of regular attack in a 200 AOE. Cast range of 700.
Level 3-Assumes a creep under 30% hp within an AOE of 200 and destroys it. Deals damage in that same area equal to 75% of regular attack. Can be used on a hero with less than 60%, dealing 75% of regular attack in a 200 AOE. Cast range of 700.
Level 4-Assumes a creep under 40% hp within an AOE of 200 and destroys it. Deals damage in that same area equal to 100% of regular attack. Can be used on a hero with less than 80%, dealing 100% of regular attack in a 200 AOE. Cast range of 800.
Mana Cost: 95
Cooldown: 20 seconds
Framework: Randomly, a weakened creep in an area of effect blows up (like when creeps are blown up by siege units in the regular WC3 games). As that happens, Sneed appears in the units place and deals AOE damage around it. The animation for that will be tiny knives flying out from Sneed and affecting each unit, kind of like a miniature Fan of Knives. The blowing up effect does not occur against a weakened hero, nor does he instantly kill the hero. Against a hero, he only deals AOE damage.

Devious Ploy (Passive)
Sneed adapts to his attacker’s strikes, gaining increased damage per strike taken. Also has a chance to assume invisibility every time he is attacked.

Level 1- Each attack grants +1 attack damage to Sneed. 10% chance to invisible for 2 seconds when attacked. Attack bonuses last 5 seconds after all attacks against Sneed have ceased. Max 50 bonuses.Upon becoming invisible Sneed stops attacking and moves at the speed of his current Skelefaction level. If Skelefaction is not learned, assumes Level 1 Skelefaction Speed.

Level 2- Each attack grants +2 attack damage to Sneed. 10% chance to become invisible for 3 seconds when attacked. Attack bonuses last 10 seconds after all attacks against Sneed have ceased. Max 50 bonuses. Upon becoming invisible Sneed stops attacking and moves at the speed of his current Skelefaction level. If Skelefaction is not learned, assumes Level 1 Skelefaction Speed.

Level 3- Each attack grants +3 attack damage to Sneed. 10% chance to become invisible for 4 seconds when attacked. Attack bonuses last 15 seconds after all attacks against Sneed have ceased. Max 50 bonuses. Upon becoming invisible Sneed stops attacking and moves at the speed of his current Skelefaction level. If Skelefaction is not learned, assumes Level 1 Skelefaction Speed.

Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Framework: -

Discussion:

Sneed serves as an interesting hero killer and ambusher. He has a great ability to use invisibility and potentially attack at the same time. Also, Sneed uses enemy creeps to his advantage. Whereas many heroes would prefer battling a foe that has no creeps to aid it, Sneed has an advantage when enemy creeps are present. This is particularly so with Sneed’s Ultimate.

PROS:
A lot of stealth.
Can attack when invisible!!!
Uses creeps and corpses to great advantage.
Can deal great amounts of damage

CONS:
Creep and corpse dependency.
Ultimate's full effect relies on chance.
His invisible state is slower than regular state.
Has little in the way of nukes and ranged attacks.
Squishy.

Synergy:
Skelefaction+Haunting Strike:
Obvious. Haunting Strike only works with invisibility and allows for Skelefaction to become an even better offensive move.

Skelefaction+Forced Infusion:
Sneed can Infuse a weakened creep, deal AOE dmg, and Skelefact almost immediately, healing and becoming invisible, upon the very creep it destroyed (The creep “blows up” but corpse will still be present). Then it can remain invisible, attack with Haunting Strike, and then Force Infuse again, wait around for a perfect situation.

Skelefaction+Devious Ploy:
Sneed’s level of Skelefaction affects Devious Ploy’s ms/as. They are a must for each other. Furthermore, when Devious Ploy fails, Sneed can Skelefact on command if corpse is present.

Haunting Strike+Devious Ploy:
Sneed gains bonus damage from Devious Ploy, goes invisible off chance, creeps around, deals more bonus damage, gets hit some more, gaining more damage, and then Skelefacts to deal even more Haunting Strikes.

Hero Synergies:
Works well with any hero than can destroy enemy creeps quickly. Mass AOE or nukers are all good. Also works well with Heroes that have slowing or stunning effects.

Worst Nightmares:
Has low hp so nukers will be powerful against him. He will also have a difficult time with heavy dmg dealers, who will prevent him from gaining enough bonus damage and will deal heavy blows, thus giving lower chances of going invisible. Invisibility revealers such as Zeus (Lightning Bolt/Wrath) or Beastmaster (Hawk) will also be at an advantage against Sneed.

Sneed is meant to be an amazing stealth attacker, practically a “Rogue” type hero for the game. He can use corpses and creeps well but also has a great deal of dependency on them. He is by no means useless one on one, particularly with Devious Ploy, but he will definitely no be playing at his full potential.

Original...but 3rd skill tottaly imba. You need to gaet his Hp uder 80% and you can instantly kill him? You must nerf that. A lot. Otherwise, its nice. ^^

Hey guys thanks for checking this one out. I really appreciate it.

What i meant with the third skill is that it automatically kills creeps. But it doesn't one-hit kill heroes. On heroes it basically works as a blink with AOE damage. Sneed teleports to the hero and does the damage = to a % of his regular attack in an AOE, but he doesn't kill the hero. The point is the hero must be under a certain amount of hp before you can use the skill on him.

Originally, i made it so the skill could only be used on weakened creeps, but that made Sneed too limited in terms of combat options.

Do you guys think the striking while invis needs nerf?

I reworked his ultimate by adding an invis time.

So Sneed has a 10% when hit to become invisible, but only for 3/4/5 seconds for levels 1/2/3 of ultimate. This nerfs that skill a lot. Also, Sneed moves SLOWER when invis, so this isn't a good escape move unless u cast Skelefaction and gain a long duration but slow invisibility or you build him with a Lothars.
