New heros?

I think ice frog should at least put a new hero every new version, it might be hard but at least he can use the Hero's idea section on DS (the 5 star rated ones)
Its just a suggestion to make Dota a lot more fun

what if there are bugs when the heroes arent perfect, or too imba
and
the scourge is running out of tavern room soon, so too many new heros would start to get crazy

Hm.. makes sense, but i would seriously like to see some of the hero ideas in DS to be made real
Btw, i never submitted a 5-star hero (i'm too noob) I just said that some of the ideas here on DS is really good

I agree with cdjelamade. If IceFrog put new heroes in each ver. of DotA then all the taverns would be full up and there would be more bugs then he could handle!

He'd only put a new hero in when most or all bugs are resolved IMO or if their was like a competetion for a new hero (Puck) on the offical DotA website.

If there were a new hero every time, we wouldn't have any time to get used to them, plus they would probably be lousy and poorly thought-out.

I disagree. The heroes would probably be rushed and they would either SUCK or be highly imba.
BUT im not saying i dont want new heroes! But they must be well thought out heroes that wont have to be constantly remodelled.

You cannot put new heroes in each new version. You cannot even want to think about versioning when it comes with new heroes. Look how many heroes you have, look the path that dota is progressively climbing (becoming very popular, not only for the quidam, but also in electronic professional world).

Icefrog must definitely stop adding heroes as of the 8 taverns are full. I'm suspecting Ice Frog to reserve the last slots for the last heroes. And that would be good.

The first advantage is no have time to work bugs out, or imbalances. Many heroes have to be fixed, just as items also do. We have other things that can be changed, except adding heroes :
- modifying heroes (new spells, as abaddon for example had)
- modifying the texture and the physical representation of the land
- modifying items (changes, deletions, ...)
- adding new modes
- adding new items
- modifying spells visual effects/items icons/heroes portrays/heroes background
- designing a new brand loading screen
- modifying the default hotkeys (for most of people, that could be really useful)
- ...
