i think yes, because it gives more max mana and max hp, and a little bit of agility. i like it because he is a glass cannon anyways, but not as first item.
there are just little items to improve you hp effectively, and i think eos is the best choice, over hot, satanic or ?bloodstone?
i sometimes make vanguard in early midgame, because with the offensive gameplay you have to have while playing weaver you sometimes have to tower-dive, and there it really helps a lot. but vanguard sucks in lategame.

why would you? much of the stats are wasted on you and you have your awesome ww to chase. you can consider it if you need more hp(after bracers) but i would get stygian.

^ i dont see any stat that is wasted. with shukuchi you will chase the enemy, and when you see that the target has an ally helping him its too late cause of the long duration.
i think radiance is kinda a must for him, but it costs a lot and provides no hp or mana. after you finally farmed up radiance you will be comparably weak without bonus life, getting stygian in that stage can be fatal.

3 bracers/ 1 vanguard should be enough to save your ass. plus you have your ulti. the strength imo is wasted and the int is definately wasted. 3 bracers give 24 strength and skadii gives 25. however with certain lineups with heavy nukers who can wipe you out in one combo even late game/ disablers who will stop you from using your ulti, buy a skadii.

a good weaver focuses on trick plays rather than shiny items. though it doesnt outclass DPS items on him, items like randiance, vanguard are preferred because they either give him the power to farm or survive.
Skadi doesnt work as a first item. it's too expensive and it gives nothing that you need early. Vanguard is a cheap HP boost, which is why it's popular. Radiance is an awesome ricing tool on weaver. i personally get vanguard, pt, 2 crystalis and then butter. 2 crystalis is a cheap and awesome damage boost.
20% slow looks awesome but in reality, it isnt much help to weaver. an ally is a more reliable method to dish damage

And i never thought of using it as First Item.

instead of 2 cristalis, why not get a cristalis and a demon edge? saves 1 slot when u have 1.2k to get a recipe and much more effective too.

EoS is good for Weaver. Just don't get it as a first item. The item is also a luxury, not a core. Radiance and Vanguard and possibly MKB/Buriza would be his core items, along with Treads. EoS is good because of the stats gain and the slow. I think richdabich explained it all.

I usually avoid getting EoS on Weaver.
I rely mostly on Shukuchi. It is one of the best chasing skills and grants mindfuc*s galore. So already the slow is not needed. I would have to agree with him needing stats and vitality however, I build him as a glass cannon. Picking up Crys and Bfly ASAP and ravaging fragile int/agi heroes.
Armlet + Time Lapse provides even more lawls.

ive always liked MKB on him, followed by butterfly. yea it doesn't give you lots of hp and stats, but a good weaver doesn't need them anyway. silence whimpy little intels, run in, murder them and WW away. you should almost never die as weaver unless they all focus and disable you. his ult is best in game imo... its the reason you can keep your streak going and escape your foes after a gank.

BKB subs his need for beefing items then buriza and radiance then bfly but htne first item must promote survival because hes a paper... maybe vitbooster to be a hot or some bracers. but i dont use skadi for weaver or any orb!!!
