Here's a map for Westwindal, I made it out so that none of you get confused on what happened and who went where since most of the conflict will occur in this imaginary island enter my main story

I know it's kinda messy since I didn't put any effort in making it Bleh!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

=+Prologue Part 1+=

A crow perched on top of a spire of the Lordaeron Palace. It groomed it's feathers with it's beak, and looked at it's once magnificent surroundings of Lordaeron city, the towering buildings humans built had now crumbled, and peoples walking about living their daily lives was no more. The city appeared a lot more different than it once was, ruins everywhere, at least it's quite the same to the crow's memory, but it do noticed that the citizens were not so same as they were before, they looked oppressed, looked...enslaved.

Seeing a few other crows flying by, the crow flapped its wings, and let out a sqwuak or two.

A green lightning flash shot through the air and hit the crow,it drained the light out of the crow. The crow fell lifelessly from the pinnacle of the tower, trying to fly but with no avail. It dropped dead on the cobble floor of the frontyard. No bloods were spilled, the roasted bird lie motionless, legs pointing towards the dark sky.

An icy aura neared the dead crow, and stopped at the now lifeless bird...

=============================================================

Kel'Thuzad had learned of Furion's trick, he knows that the prophet can manipulate anything of the nature, even living things. He can gain vision of any animals he desires, and link both mind into one. Kel'Thuzad is worried that Furion might try to spy on the palace's movements with these tricks. Surely his worries are not wasted, for now his king is resurrected. Kel'Thuzad knew Furion too well, too well that he suspected that it's just a matter of time before Furion takes matters into his own hands.

As he drifted through the frontyard of the palace, he scanned the vast Loedaeron sky, full of clouds, thundering clouds to be exact. Noises rumbled in the air, occasional lightning fork raced in the clouds. A storm is brewing...

Ahh...Yes...The presence of Ner'zhul is ever so strong, even in the air...None shall stand a chance against the might of the Lich King, and when the Burning Legion comes...

A sqwuak interrupted his thoughts, he peered at the source, high on a palace tower, and spotted a black bird.

Furion, how many avian friends of yours must you sacrifice to know that these attempts are just so futile...

Kel'Thuzad raised one of his bony fingers and pointed at the crow. He muttered a quick word, a green flash burst from the tip of his finger and struck the defenseless bird. It fell and hit the floor hard. A thunder roared acting in concert with what just happened.

The lich glided along the cobblestones with elegance, at the same time, radiating evil. He stopped at where the dead crow laid. The charred carcass was motionless, Kel'Thuzad lowered himself just to admire how his magic fared.

Remember what your pity little friend last seen in its life, Furion...Maybe it will also be the last thing you'll ever put your sight on...

Satisfied, the lich straighten himself, his blue orb eyes fixed on the main chamber doors. He drifted towards it, leaving an icy trail behind.

Another thunder roared as the door magically flung open for the lich to enter. He marched on without much delay into chamber...

===========================================================

The Lich King sat on his throne, his eyes fixed upon the chamber door. Up at the ceiling the chandelier dangled and swayed in the wind, candle lights flickered, the fire danced, casting random shadows on the floor below.Arthas, or rather, Ner'Zhul allowed himself to take a glance at the dancing shadow on the floor, but then looked at the door with icy stare again.

The Lich King was not expecting anyone to come through the door, yet his sight never left the oak door. He stared blank, half admiring the beautiful carvings made on the wooden door. His arm rested on the armrest of the throne, grasping it, veins appeared at the surface of the skin of his arm, vein running the unholy blood.

Soon...Soon, all kingdoms shall fall...All will be mine in the end...My power will rise unlimited...Yes, even the Burning Legion shall bow to me as its new rightful Master...The new Lord of the Legion...

How insane this idea is, he thought. Not that Sargeras can do anything with his soul left stranded, but rather, he thought of Kil'Jaeden, the one who made him what he is now...The one who banished him into the Frozen Throne...He shall and will take revenge, he thought.

A sudden thunder brought him back to reality, it echoed in the chamber, the chandelier rocked more violently. And then, he felt a familiar presence at the door.

The door slowly crept open, but no one was pushing it so, instead the figure at the door opened it with magic, a skeletal figure in a mage's robe. In contrast to the old and dusty feeling the lich himself gives, his robe is nothing like that, it is decorated with jewels and had an elegant radiance that only a high noble fits to wear.

With a gesture of the newcomer's bony hands, the door magically shut closed. Kel'Thuzad slowly drifted along the floor towards his master.

Lich King eyed his servant, one of his most faithful servant he had, he looked at Kel'Thuzad, posture never changing. The lich bowed slightly at Arthas.

"What is it that brings your presence in my chamber at this time?" the Lich King asked. True, Kel'Thuzad wasn't supposed to be here, he should be at Northend, raising his undead horde.

"My greetings Master Ner'Zhul..." Kel'Thuzad said, then silence followed in the chamber. Kel'Thuzad expected Arthas to ask him something, but then again, the Lich King did not.

Kel'Thuzad continued," I know I should be overseeing the progress in Northend now, but an utmost important matter had brought me here...I'll be my honor to show you what I had discovered..."

The Lich King stared at his servant. Kel'Thuzad dared a look at his master's eyes, same as his, blue icy orbs flared from inside the Lich King's helmet. Kel'Thuzad took away his sight from his master, and looked down. He can feel the overwhelming feeling when he looked into his master's eyes, almost as if in any moment, the Lich King will freeze his soul just with a stare.

Lich King did not say a word, nor did he had the urge. But eager he is to know what Kel'Thuzad might present to him. He leaned his body forward, and then drummed his gauntlet fingers at the armrest.

Seeing that this is a sign telling him to show what he had to offer, Kel'Thuzad held both of his hands high. The lich chanted in necromancy, and a large sphere appeared floating in the chamber above the two figures. The sphere, misty and hazy with no certain boundaries, swirled in its axis.

Arthas continued to drum his fingers, he looked at the spell work of the lich, but not at all impressed. Still, he wanted to know what his faithful servant wanted to show, even abandoning his work at Northend to come here.

An image formed in the misty sphere, an island. But not any island Arthas recognise, nor did the Ner'Zhul's memory do. Kel'Thuzad stopped chanting, he lowered his head again to the Lich King.

"Well? What is this island, Kel'Thuzad?"

"Ah...You might not have known, this is the Mirage Island, Westwindal," The lich replied, still unwilling to say it all out at once.

"Explain..." Arthas muttered coldly, impatience growing in him.

"To most, this island appears only to be a myth. Countless of attempts to find this island proved failure...Either by the night elves or other races. Yes, in fact it only reveals itself only to the one it chooses to...and none of them fitted to be one..."

Kel'Thuzad paused for a moment, then continued almost instantly," This island...Contains the waters which magical quality matches those in the Well of Eternity..."

Lich King's orb eyes gleamed with curiosity, at the same time, with satisfaction of this discovery, even though Kel'Thuzad hasn't finish on further elaborating it.

"How then, did you uncover this remote sanctuary? How?" Lich King asked, interrupting Kel'Thuzad.

Kel'Thuzad, stopped his speech. " It seems that the Mirage Island has chose to reveal itself again, that was the why it was discovered, far off the western coast of Kalimdor. Why it resurfaced I'm not sure."

"But," the lich added.

"I have one plausible explanation on why it resurfaced. The waters in the island have found its rightful wielder of power, the only one who can draw power from the magical waters...And when I say found , I meant the wielder of powers has been born..."

"Newly born?" Arthas asked, half to himself. His mind drifted to his newborn son, Abbadon, who was only 1 years old. But he shook off the idea of his son being the wielder of power of the Well, much due to the fact that only ancient night elf highborns had the ability to draw power form the Well itself.

"Yes, I know that my lord you are thinking about the possibility of that to be young Prince Abbadon...Take my words, it might be, it might not..."

"How is it that I can know if someone is or is not chosen by this waters of power?" The Lich King asked, he know that the reason of Kel'Thuzad's visit is to tell him of the discovery of this so-called Mirage Island, but somehow he know that this could link him to the possible potentials that the waters have.

Kel'Thuzad tried to widen his eyes, but the only thing seemed to grew is his bluish orbs. "A good question, my lord, " the lich bowed, "of course I was about to enter to this. Most often the Chosen Ones have signs of greatness in them since they were born, these signs could be anything, it could be a mark on the body, could be eccentric characteristic, could be having exceptional powers in either physically or magic. The one that my lord might recall is Illidan, he was born with amber eyes, portraying greatness in his life."

Kel'Thuzad paused just in time another thunder echoed loudly in the chamber. The Lich King, laid back on his throne, listened intently, although not with all his attention.

"My lord, the point is... We must find the wielder of power of the waters before anyone," Kel'Thuzad continued, then added, " At all cost."

Ner'Zhul understood what the lich meant, only with the Chosen one they can use the magical attributes of the waters to open the portal for the Burning Legion. His fist wrapped around Frostmourne, and clenched it tight, feeling the shattered soul of the victims of Frostmourne.

"I understand what you said, Kel'Thuzad..." the Lich King said," Gather all men to this Mirage Island of Westwindal, seek the source of this water, I want this island to be secured before we found the only one who can draw powers from the waters. After that I want my Scourge legion to tear off the kingdoms of Azeroth one by one, searching piece by piece through the rubbles for this Chosen One, and if it happens to be my son, I will leave the pleasure of doing the first to my new minions of the Burning Legion."

Kel'Thuzad acknowledged that as an order," Then I think I should be going back to Northend now, I await your command, my lord."

Just when the lich was about to turn back and leave the chamber, another thunder roared, but this time, unlike the last, the thunderous cracking sound came from a point between the lich and the Lich King Arthas. A slight smokescreen burst out from the origin of the sound, but dispersed almost instantly to reveal a figure standing there.

The person who just teleported into the chamber has a body like an Eredar, but a little bit altered unlike his kind, he has a slim body, scaly skin like Eredar but covered with slimy and sticky goo-like substance. His smooth and icy coloured skin seems to glow in the dark chamber, and tail move about on the floor like a writhing snake, in fact he has a snake like appearance. Chains hung from his wrists and ankles, chains so old that mosses grew on any surfaces of the chains. What disgusts anyone the most upon putting a sight on him is his face, not that he does not have any expression, but his slimy blank face wouldn't allow. His seamless face is so blank that one might mistake it for a mirror.

Kel'Thuzad turned back to see the Eredar-shaped being standing just in front of the Lich King. "And what brings the puppet of our glorious lord here?" Kel'Thuzad mocked.

Slipheus "looked" at Kel'Thuzad, some slim dripped over the part of his face where the eyes should be. Then, his face is seamless no more, a wide gap appeared at where the mouth is positioned, his "mouth" grew wider and wider until it almost reach the ears, two rows of long black grisly teeth grew from the top and bottom part of his mouth, a lolling tongue shot out between a gap of his teeth.

Slipheus replied with his new-formed mouth," I prefer the term "Marionette" rather than "Puppet", if you don't mind."

His hissing voice chilled Kel'Thuzad's bones.

"I came for matters as important as what you brought to our lord, Kel'Thuzad. Of course...with more importance that our lord might concern than yours if not equal," The Marionette continued.

Kel'Thuzad felt like his mockeries had been turned upon himself instead. He watched Slipheus, who looked back at the lich, both stares so intense that a fire might have started from the friction of their gazes.

"Enough..." Arthas said, softly but loud enough for them to know who is to be respected here. "Kel'Thuzad, would you please..." The Lich King gestured with his hand at the door, the lich bowed and went out of the chamber room.

Slipheus turned back to the Lich King, he reported," My lord, I spied as you told me to, Furion is indeed mounting a resistance force against us. It's just a matter of time before they are on our doorsteps..."

"A resistance?"

"Yes my lord, "eyes" doesn't deceive, nor does my words. If they do attack us now, odds are we can hold them off. I don't think our army is strong enough to withstand......"

Slipheus stopped, his gaze shifted to a doorway to another chamber. Lich King too, looked at where the Marionette looked. A child clumsily walked in and stood at the doorway, he was barely one years old, some silver blonde hairs started to grow on his head. The toddler looked at Slipheus with one finger in his mouth, the other hand he was holding something like a blanket.

A voice sounded from the dark doorway,"Abbadon, how many times had I told you not to..." The woman stopped as soon as she entered the chamber and saw Slipheus with Arthas.

"Greetings, Queen Jaina..." Slipheus said and bowed with respect.

Jaina looked at the feature-less face, then to his husband Arthas. With a face of disgust she picked up the child and blurted," Come Abbadon, we got to go...". Jaina strode off quickly into the doorway she came from.

The Arthas part of the Lich King's mind sighed. Emotions will get you no where, Arthas...

Ner'Zhul's voice in his mind reminded him. Had he been lying to himself? No matter how twisted his mind became, his love for Jaina never faded, even if he kept telling himself that this is not true...Even if Ner'Zhul himself kept telling him that this is not true...It hurts Arthas to see his beloved to bear such a hatred towards him...

Arthas, you are not listening... Ner'Zhul's voice rang in his mind.

"My lord, you are listening, not?" Slipheus asked, seeing that the Lich King still has his head turned towards the doorway.

Arthas turned back," Yes, of course I am...Where were we just now?"

"As I was saying, we might not be able to hold off Furion and his rallied force now if they attacked..."

=============================================================

The Lich King and Slipheus discussed on their defensive strategies until the night came crawling in the sky, blanketing the land with darkness.

The Marionette left for his spying mission, while the Lich King sought for his own bed chamber.

Kel'Thuzad had told him about the sign that might occur on a newborn child. Arthas thought that he should be checking on his baby son for any, and if he does bear any, then the opening of portal will be much easier.

=============================================================

Jaina Proudmoore just couldn't believe how miserable her life has been for these 3 years in the palace of Lordaeron. She had been hunted down by the Lich King's servants and forcefully married to King Arthas, whom she once loved. But now, all Arthas is to her is a young man who is so corrupted and gone beyond insanity...

"Oh Arthas...What happened to you? Why all this?" Jaina muttered to herself, her eyes in tears, the very eyes that once seen the younger and kind Arthas that is ambitious. Ambitious he is still now, but it's a different meaning of ambition, one that makes a man lusts for power, always insatiated for more.

Quietly she sobbed, like she has been for 3 years. Looking out the window at White Mother and Blue Child, praying that somehow a miracle will happen to Arthas and change him back to what he used to be.

The two moons rose up high in the sky, splitting the sky into four equal pieces. It's time to go to bed for Jaina, she sat on her bed where young Abbadon slept peacefully. His innocent face touched her mother so much. Abbadon looks just like Arthas when he was young, Jaina can still remember the times they spent together in childhood, times when King Terenas ruled Lordaeron peacefully.

"Those were the past...What's done cannot be undone..." She whispered to herself, at the same time to Abbadon is if he knew what happened all along. "I promise you Abbadon, you'll not suffer the same fate your father had...He will not succeed you as the heir to his evil throne..."

Jaina stroked the fine hairs of the sleeping Abbadon, and touched his face lightly and slowly trailing to his mouth. Abbadon reacted by moving his mouth, expecting her mother to feed her. She smiled at this sight, happy that joy can still exist in this world of scourges.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps growing louder towards her room. Footsteps of heavy metal, she realised who it was, only one person could have worn a suit of armor at this time.

Lich King appeared at the opened door, his silhouette casted a shadow on the floor. The Lich King was holding Frostmourne in his hand, he never sheathes it. Arthas stood firmly there for a moment, before walking in with small heavy steps.

"What is it you want?" Jaina asked threateningly.

"What's is the problem of taking a look at my child?" Arthas answered, he continued towards the bed.

"Your child?! Since when he IS your child, Arthas? All you wanted is an heir to your wicked throne!! All you wanted is just someone to succeed you when you're gone!! And now you said you wanted to ACT like a lovingly father?!"

"Since when had I ever deny the fact that this child here, Abbadon is the baby between you and me?!"

"There's nothing between you and me, Arthas!! And I will never let Abbadon to follow you path so self-destruction!!
Abbadon is MY child, Arthas, I don't know you anymore!!"

Jaina broke down and started crying, same to Abbadon, who was awoken why the quarrel and now sitting on the bed crying. While the Lich King stood there, stunned. Words of her queen felt like arrows piercing his heart, Arthas felt confused.

"I don't know you anymore" echoed in his mind. "Who am I?" he asked himself.

Arthas...She doesn't even love you anymore...Why bother? Kill her before she does anything stupid... Ner'Zhul's voice sounded in Arthas.

"No!!! I loved her, all my life and forever will be," Arthas fought in his mind.

Very well then, I'll do it myself...

Arthas unwillingly raised his own hand and pointed his finger at Jaina. Jaina stared at Arthas, expecting and anticipating what will happen next, she'll die.

"NO! Don't do this Ner'Zhul!" Arthas shouted,"Don't!"

It's too late...

A ball of white light started to grow on the tip of the Lich King's gauntleted finger. Arthas felt energies being rushed to the tip of his finger, any moment now Ner'Zhul will kill Jaina. No, it is he himself who will kill her.

Jaina gulped and closed her eyes, drops of tears ran down her cheek. "This is it...I'm so sorry Abbadon...I broke my promise...Please forgive your mother..." She thought...

A lightning burst and hit Jaina at her chest, she was bounced back and banged the wall hard. "NO! Jaina!" Arthas yelled his lungs out. He tried to run to her, but Ner'Zhul wouldn't allow, he stood there witnessing himself killing Jaina.

"First my father, now Jaina...I had enough! Ner'Zhul, I had enough of this. Please, grant my wish, I want to be normal again! I want to live a normal life again!!" Arthas said loudly to his other half.

Arthas!!! Ner'Zhul boomed in him.

Silence befell the room, only to be erased by the cryings of Abbadon. Ner'Zhul have had control of Arthas's body, but that doesn't stop him from leaking a tear. Jaina's body was flung far at a corner of the room, motionless, her face ever so peaceful, for she have finally found the peaceful sanctuary that she was looking for, the afterlife...

Arthas...You are now the Lich King!! Do not disappoint me!! A Lich King knows no love, not for others, not for family, not at all!!

Arthas was granted his free will again, he immediately knelt down. He dared not look at Jaina, he had already hurted her so much, he dared not to face his beloved anymore.

Check the baby ...Ner'Zhul coldly said. Without waiting for Arthas to do so, he himself made Arthas to move to Abbadon.

The Lich King inspected Abbadon for any marks, none was found. Half disappointed Ner'Zhul is.

After that, the Lich King strode out the room, leaving Abbadon crying frantically in the room.

So you learned to let go that fast? Ner'Zhul questioned Arthas.

"I failed you, Lich King...My emotions are blinding me, I know I must put away these to succeed myself as the Lich King..."

Good, you learn fast, Arthas...As for young Abbadon, I will seek to it that he is taken care of...

"Thanks Ner'Zhul..."

Arthas doesn't felt sad anymore about Jaina's incident, as if he doesn't care anymore. Part of his conscience felt wrong, but still, not he felt nothing, nothing. Ner'Zhul had already spread the seeds of darkness in him, looks like those seeds started to sprout leaves.

It won't be long now, before Arthas grow fully fit to wear my armor suit...It won't be long now...Hehehehe.... Ner'Zhul thought to himself.

Arthas is still recalling the events that happened back in the room, but instead of guilty that fills him, he chuckled with pleasure...

The Lich King's footsteps continued to echo through the corridors as he strode...

Great! Amazing! I loved it, at first I was just gonna read a part but then you write soo good, I decided to read it all over.

I noticed that your figurative language faded a little when you approached the climax and the end. Did you get exited writing your own story (I did) or you got tşred of writing, I dunno, but if you can make the end like the beginning, this will be 1st class writing, not that it isn't right now Very Happy

Amazing work, keep on.

The second part of first prologue...Dont ask me what's the hold up...if you really want to know...it's lack of motivation...haha...anyway, enjoy...

=============================================================

=+Prologue Part 1+= (con't)

A sudden void filled Furion's heart, as if lightning struck at the center of his chest. He downed on one knee, grasped at his chest where it hurts the most, and took deep breathes. The pain faded almost as fast as it came to Furion.

Furion closed his eyes, he knew this sensation very well, it comes everytime the Scourge scars this land. Either living or not, everything in the nature have a special bond with Furion, to him, the nature is his limb, and everytime they are hurt Furion suffers he same pain they are going through.

This time, Furion felt the pain of an animal, a crow to be precise. He silently mourned for his avian friend in his heart, and shed invisible tears for it.

"Are you well, Master Furion?" asked a night elven lady, dressed in a armored uniform though quite flamboyant to be one. A simbol of the moon is crested on her chest plate. She helped Furion up to his legs.

"I'm fine, Mirana...It's just...I'm just worried about Tyrande..." Furion muttered, his eyes still closed and his hand rubbing his forehead. He gestured his hand to Mirana telling her that he's fine, and leaned his weight against his staff.

"Priestess Tyrande will be fine, I can assure you that. We are doing our best to help Priestess Tyrande to deliver the babies...," Mirana told Furion.

Furion sighed, in relieve and worry. Inside the tent behind him he can hear the moaning of his wife, and voices of other priestesses talking in a urgent tone, which sounded like commands to Furion although he can't make out what they said.

Mirana took a glance at the tent, before turning back to Furion, " I must be going now, Priestess Tyrande is delivering. I ought to be there to help out...May the blessings of Mother Elune be upon you, Furion..."

Mirana bowed slightly at Furion before rushing off into the tent, leaving Furion to stare blank at the starry night sky.

Starry night sky it was indeed, Furion thought to himself. He examined the stars quietly, noting something strange. "I've never seen those stars before...What are those stars?"

High up in the sky, two stars shined brightly, one slightly in amber, one in bluish white. Both adjacent to each other, while at the same time positioned in between another two stars constellation known as "Gate of Darkness" to druidic astronomy.

"The amber star has passed into the 'Gate of Darkness'..." Furion muttered softly to himself. The "Gate of Darkness" has a very darkened reputation amongst the druidic astronomy, mostly because in it's history, when any stars representing a person passes through the "Gate" between the two stars, that person is destined to be evil.

"Who could it be?" Furion asked, but of course no one was listening. Only winds rustled in reply.

In the tent behind, Furion can hear Tyrande's moaning getting more intense, and grew more like into crying. Soon, it was not only her cry that Furion can hear, the babies' cry drowned her mother's.

Instinctively, Furion ran into the tent, seeing Tyrande lying on a bed. Beside her stood two more priestesses, each with a baby in their arms.

"Master Furion!" One of the priestess greeted in a shocked voice, all of them bowed to Furion.

Furion doesn't care if they greeted him or not, he wasn't listening at all. In quick steps he strode to Tyrande, lowering himself so that he can talk directly to Tyrande in her face.

"Are you alright, my love?" Furion asked, stroking her sweaty hairs with his hand.

"I'm fine, Malfurion...I'm fine...How's the babies?" Tyrande managed to speak out with effort, she rolled her eyes to look for the twins.

"They're here", said one priestess.

The two priestesses holding the babies approached Furion, carefully handing over the babies to Furion, who held them each in one arm.

"It's our babies..." Furion muttered, tears of joy filled his eyes.

Tyrande sit up on her bed, trying to take a look at her children. One of the babies was fast asleep, the other one still rolling around in Furion's arm.

"Let me take a look..." Tyrande spoke softly to Furion, he sat next to Tyrande to give her a better view.

"Those are two healthy twins, Priestess Tyrande," one of the Priestess said.

Tyrande smiled at the remark her sister made, " Thank you..."

Silence followed as the two new parents quietly looked at their children's innocent faces. Mirana suggested that all of the sisters should be leaving them alone now, and they left the tent, leaving Furion and Tyrande behind in the tent.

"Furion, what should we name them?" Tyrande asked out all the sudden, caught Furion by surprise since he didn't even thought of that before. Furion was just so excited by the birth that he never had time to think of the names for them.

"What about...Magina and Lucius?" Magina for the elder while Lucius for the younger..." Furion said. Tyrande agreed immediately without even needing to think about it. To her, Furion has never got things wrong.

"Magina and Lucius it shall be then..." Furion repeated, the two names constantly replaying itself in Furion's head, reminding him.

One of the twins, the younger if he remembered correctly, was still not asleep, he rolled in Furion's arm. He focused on him, sensing something out of place. Soon, he knew what it was, when the baby finally opened his eyes.

"Amber eyes!!!" Furion blurted upon seeing his baby's reddish eyes.

"What's wrong, Furion?" Tyrande asked, still not knowing what Furion saw. She fixed her sight on where Furion was looking, and noticed the amber eyes Furion was talking about, those were the very eyes their child is bearing.

This is not good...Why? Why must my child be the reincarnate of my dear brother, Furion thought...

Maybe, just maybe, he can do something to change the already-written prophecy, the one saying that amber eyes always portray greatness in someone...Someone like Illidan...

rider rode towards Furion, who was standing on the hill overseeing his small camp consisting a band of the Priestesses of Elune and the Rangers. The horse galloped at full speed. Its rider, a hooded man with rein wrapped around his hand, spurred the stallion continuously, not wanting to give up any minute to time.

Furion expected the man, he waited him for the whole dawn. His silver eyes gleamed in the morning sun's ray, squinted as the rider rode up the small hill.

Immediately the hooded figure unmounted from the his steed, and ran the remaining distance to Furion, throwing his hood behind as he did so. He wore a cloak with hood of an elven ranger that can blend easily into the trees, and inside his cloak is a mithril chainmail forged by dwarves. Though equipped with a sword hung on his belt and a Eaglehorn wood long bow plus all other accessories, he still moved with grace and ease as if they don't weigh a thing.

"Furion, the Alliance are ready for the assault on Lordaeron. Lord Raven Jacques have had his army ready from the east of Capital City, he together with the Knights of the Silver Hand will start pushing the Scourge's force and he reckon his army may reach the Capital City by tomorrow," the Ranger reported.

"Then we should also be going by now, shan't we, Aderius?" Furion said, patting his hand on Aderius's shoulder before he strode down the hill to their camp with the Ranger.

Furion headed straight for Tyrande's tent, guarded by two priestesses that greeted Furion as he entered, while Aderius remained outside. Just yesterday night his wife gave birth to a twin, Furion will not let her participate in the upcoming encounter with the Scourge. He had told Tyrande not to be involved in this many times before they even set out, but her insistence defeated Furion, who had and always had a soft heart for her. But this time he must not let her join the battle, for the sake of his sons and also Tyrande herself.

Tyrande sat up straight as soon as Furion entered, she opened her mouth to speak but Furion spoke first, " Tyrande, I know you wanted to be a part of this battle against the Scourge, I know you wanted to be beside me to fight together. But for our sons, please, Tyrande, I want you together with Magina and Lucius go back to the main camp now. I will have someone to escort you and you leave as soon as possible."

"But..."

"Don't argue with me in this, Tyrande. Don't. My decision is clear and I'll stick to that. It's not safe here, as the war might spread if we failed. Promise me you'll listen to me, for this time..."

Tyrande frowned, clearly she recovered fast from the birth, she is capable! How could Furion not let her lend an extra hand when he said he might fail? But then, as Furion said, who would look after the twin if they perished? Uncertainties filled her mind, but in the end, she nodded.

Furion took that as a yes, he kissed her in the temple. " I know you would agree on my decision."

"Promise me you'll come back, promise our kids..." Tyrande said weakly, tears forming in her eyes.

Furion looked at his babies lying on the pillowed floor, then he nodded," Yes, I promise...I must get going now, we must leave the camp this instance..."

Tyrande spoke no more as Furion rushed out of the tent. He turned to the two priestesses guarding the tent. " I want the two of you to escort Mistress Tyrande back to the main camp when my party leave this camp. Take the caravans or whatever, she and the babies must reach the main camp safely and stay there for news," Furion ordered. They accepted the task without objection.

"Did you say babies?" Aderius suddenly asked as he appeared beside Furion.

Furion threw a not-now look at Aderius, and that was enough to silence him from more questioning. They took brisk strides towards the strategy tent, where the Rangers now await.

A troll stood at the entrance of the tent, a lean and slim troll with blue skin tone, his two tusks sticking out from his mouth. He had his hairs tied up behind unlike other trolls that usually keep mohawks. "Where ju bin', man? We hav' bin' waiting for both of ju'...Come come, we starting soon," the troll said, gesturing for the duo to enter the tent faster.

"Sorry Rhasta, I've been on some other matter. At least now we're here," Furion said in his characteristic humble manner as he entered the big tent together with the troll and Aderius.

He found himself being looked upon by many pair of eyes, four more to be exact. Already in the tent waiting for Furion were Mirana Nightshade. Beside her standing at least eight feet tall and a pair of magnificent stags to add another four, is a keeper of the grove, Leshrac the Wise, one of the most trusted keeper of Cenarius. Also beside Mirana is a furry being with a bear almost the same size as himself as a partner, namely a druid called Syllabear. And finally jumping up and down without patience is the dryad, Aiushtha, known for her enchanting powers connected with nature.

"Cenarius won't be pleased when he knew his top student does not have time conscience," Leshrac commented as Furion entered, chuckling as he did.

"Yes, I know I'm late but only by a few minutes. And I know every moment counts now, that's why I'm not even later..." Furion defended himself, even though he knew very well Leshrac was joking.

"And now we are all gathered here, let's brief on our mission shall we not?" Aderius announced, with full charisma. The others know him as a skillful ranger, he was even known as The Ranger of the Wind by his compatriots in th Ranger's League for his lightning reflexes and acute agility that even the best elven ranger does not possess.

"Yes, you are absolutely, never been so right before, Aderius," Furions said. He reached out for a map from a pile of papers on the tent's table and spread it out for the others to see.

All those who were present in the tent huddled close to Furion, and looked at the map intendly. What they saw is a map of the palace of Lordaeron's Capital City, with very detailed descriptions written all over it, by Furion himself obviously.

"Now listen closely..." Furion said, the atmosphere in the tent changed almost instantly, a sense of tension hung over them. It's not because they were all nervous, true they felt a little bit tensed but it is who they're facing that caused the heavy air. The Lich King Ner'Zhul, sends chill down their spine just to speak of the name, even Furion took extra caution in this task when he planned it, for failure could lead to extinction of not only the night elves but all the younger races in Azeroth.

Furion took a deep breath and gulped before he continue, he wanted to make things clear to all of them, and expected them to work according to plan, because he knew there is no margin for error. The spirit bear, companion of Syllabear too raised its ears as to listen to what Furion had got to say.

"Lord Raven Jacques and his Theramore Alliance force will start pushing towards the Capital City from now, and the estimated time for him and his army to fight the Scourge all the way there is one day. That is, He promised me that he will be laying siege to the Capital City by the dawn of next day. And I have full confidence in his leadership."

"As you all know...This is our last chance, it's make or break, even the dwarves and blood elves joined the cause for this final conflict...So we, as the Ranger's League, must also not stand quiet in this battle against the evil...And we had been tasked..." A silence followed, Furion took a glance at each and every member of the Rangers, all anxious to know what is their mission.

Furion continued," We...had been tasked to assassinate the Lich King Ner'zhul...With this succeed, the Scourge will utterly lose their source of necromancy powers and left vulnerable to the Alliance army."

They stared blank at Furion, not a word were spoken. An uphill battle they are facing, for killing the Lich King is not a stroll in the field. More like ants attempting to lift a large stone, looked impossible but achievable when using the right way, yet they doubt they doubted thay Furion even had a right way.

"Don't look at me like that...It's our only chance, we must do this!!!" Furion said. All of them agreed, this is really their only chance, for from what they know, all able soldiers were gathered to make this last assault. If this failed, there will be no more defenders of this land, Azeroth will be left for the Scourge and Burning Legion to devour slowly.

"And how, will the assassination be possible? Lich King have his own bodyguards, and I'm sure those are the best he can have. Surely we aren't fighting our way to him, are we?" Syllabear asked Furion.

"Shhh...Listen to what Furion havta' say, man..." Rhasta interjected.

"Well, thanks for suggesting, Syllabear. Surely all of us know that fact that Ner'Zhul's guard are the best of the best. And yes we ARE fighting our way through his bodyguards to reach him, that's the only way," Furion said, a littile bit annoyed by the discouraging Syllabear did, but still, they are a team and Syllabear would surely obey their leader Furion without objections.

"I agree with Furion, that's really the only way we can even touch the Lich King. We would never know if we can if we never try," Leshrac the Wise added.

All of them nodded in agreement with Leshrac's words, Furion was relieved to see this, at first he had feared that all of them would not accept this challenge and leave the world to destruction. Now at least, they still have some hope left, slim hope but bright enough to drive them on...

"Good then...it's very good that all of you had stepped up to face this daunting task...I'm so proud of you, Rangers..." Furion leaked a tear, the others wasn't surprised, for this might be their last ever meeting, before they perish in the name of justice. Mirana and Rhasta too had red eyes, the spirit bear growled in a low sound, as if it was crying.

"Alright now then, I should now brief you on the castle grounds and where the Lich King should be. After which we should be setting off to join Lord Jacques's army," Furion spoke in a rather soft way.

The Rangers listened word by word, not to miss out any details explained by Furion. "This might be the last time," still lingered in their head as they listened.

Outside, Furion's sound was drown by the blowing wind, almost as if weeping for those who will die in the upcoming battle...

Yes, btu people remeber that kind of thing which is CONSTANT. But posts are another matter, people keep posting adn someone who reads this story fro teh frist tiem will automatically think that there is only one chapter to teh story unless he probes further.
