SOrry for double Post, i am wanting to know first of all, if there are any of you out there who are as cheap as me, and dont own the legal version of warcraft , i know i know shame shame, except i want to know how to play online on a decent server that has little or no delay/lag for aussie players, i have heard of Bored Aussie but i have had trouble in attempts to set it up on my computer, i have a cable connection and a decent 3.2 ghz CPU.
To the main question, is it worth buying the legal version of War3 and TFT so i can play on battle.net or is it so congested that there is a 2 seconds delay on each click in-game (which i have expierienced on Lorderon servers).
Basicly i want to know whether playing on an illegal version of the game will still allow me to play on decent regional servers(Bored Aussie) and how to do this.
If this is not possible will somone tell me the pros of the legit version and whether playing on the american/asian/euro servers will lag or have a delayed reaction time. Thank you . I am a new poster btw, i live in Melbourne Australia and my local lan which i religiously attend is "Renegade" near caulfield station for local dotaers.. cya and thanks in advanced.

Hi Pillow. It goes without saying -- It's always best to buy the legal version.

Thanks except i am still in the delema of whether i should get the game at all, i play currently on weekends at my local lan. And when i am at home i currently play against AI, this is pretty pathetic. I would like to play online but only if is perfect without lag and delay,A) is this possible B) is it worth it in the long run C) will it take up too much time from my studies Hi Pillow. C.
But if you really want to play online, get GG Client.

Like Drew said.
If you want to buy softwares, go original. Even if you do manage to go to BNet with pirated stuff, you still get lags. It just comes if it's supposed to come. Sometimes lags can be reduced by avoiding overseas players, ie in yr case US, Asia, Europe and play with Aus/NZ players.
Now if you feel that you can get some ppl to get together to play regularly, then skip the software and go to the cybercafes. But really you should decide for yourself which is better. Anyway, i hear Blizzard CDs are quite cheap in AS$. If you really decide to get one, maybe you can consider EBay stuff. It's cheaper.
Not that I wouldn't advocate pirated stuff, but IMHO supporting pirated stuff could get us in a little trouble if some Blizzard insiders come here. Better be safe than sorry, you never know.

Yeh i understand, after thinking about it , its not really the money which is a problem, its mainly the time that i would spend playing online, i have an addictive nature ie: just got off wow and such. And im in yr 11 about to do exams so i dont know if i want to.
Thanks for all the support and help, i will try out GG client when/if i buy the game, do i need to buy TFT and WAR3 ?
I Have heard that the bset server for me to play on is bored aussie, and i have also heard that you can play on this server even if you dont have the legal version of the game. But i tryed to play, (i installed the drivers and tryed to open it) and i jsut got a bunch of error messages. Ill buy the game and try it out.
Thank you everyone for all your help and support.
PS. I was also wondering what type of careers you guys/girls are into, i am interested in application programing and Game Design/Programming ( i know it sounds imature to want to "make" games) and i was wondering if you had any advise about these fields and how to start preparing for them.
TY pillow
