As some of you know, I work as a part-time English teacher/tutor. Naturally, this means I spend a lot of time around young kids from ages 4-17. Many of them, including the young ones, are amazingly tech-savvy and are already glued to their monitors.

One day, one of the the younger ones, came up to me and said, "Miss ___! I found this amazing new site! It's really fun, let me show it to you..."

And he showed me Neopets.com, which I hadn't seen in years. He then generously offered to make me an account of my very own.

Whereupon I remarked that I already had an account, and my Neopet was older than he was. (3,033 days)

Having realised that a virtual blue bird thing was, in fact, his senior, the child went away. The teacher was left to contemplate thoughts such as "Holy sh*t, I'm old."

Soooo... Neopets anyone? Did anyone used to have an account? Does anyone still have one now? ^_^;;

I'm BKB-chan now! Until I get over the death of the BKB, at least. TT_TT

I played Neopets back when I was oh, 11 or 12. I can actually remember all of my passwords, but now they're doing a bitchy thing where you need to enter your birthday to access your account. Since I totally lied about my birthday back then (you couldn't access most functions if you were below 13), I can't remember what kind of random crap I put in.

i still see neopet commercials in cartoon network...hmmm... bunch of weired looking animals....LOL...

I'm 16.... i think neopets can still be played by teenager IMO...hahaha!


but it's kinda embarrasing....^^

原因是很簡單的。因為其他人不明白你們在說什麼。DS是一個國際的網址，大家都應該說一個比較多人說的語言，例如英文。中文也可以...

(The reason is simple. It's because nobody else understands what you are saying. DS is an international website, we should communicate in a language that is more widely spoken, such as English.)
