get hood, then their spell resistance skill

Yes exactly. Just wanna add: for all heroes with passive magic resistance skill, get the item first before learning the skill to make them stack.

Yes, that's it basically, get it before you get your skills....
But I believe that the only one who really needs it is Pudge.....
Magina'll still eat up a mage for breakfast without it, and the other hero I can think of is Viper, but he has a looooong shopping list before that

Yeah,Anti-Mage doesn't need HoD unless there are Slayer or Zeus in the game I think.

But the worst thing is that even HoD is useless to exact damages like Laser or Brain Sap.These two skills can hurt Magina a lot on early game,and maybe Nortrom's and Obsidian's orb skills.
