Boots of Travel>Power Treads Always?

What do you think about these 2 items?Does BoT overhelm PT in every hero,every situation?The only hero that I think BoT is useless on him is Furion,who has a natural teleportation skill.

Yeah i think so too, but BoT i not allways about teleportation. It boosts your movement speed by 90, wich is really visible at a hero. I think Power Treads are pretty good for str heroes and some of the agi heroes, like Broodmama, Bloodseeker, Gondar... I almost never buy PT for Int heroes, except Furion Laughing

Actually i buy Bot even on furion (every late though) for super pushing maddness Bleh!

IMO, BoT > PT anytime, anywhere.

BoT gives you teleportation, which is very essential for managing pushes/defense. It also give more movespeed than its counterpert.

PT is much cheaper and it also gives a decent attackspeed to go with it. However, in teamplay (which DotA should be about), you'll miss out on the teleportaion to help team ganks/push/defense.

I too would only buy PT on Furion, as he already have a teleportation skill. Smile

Permabasher - PT
Chaser - PT/BoT
Int. - BoT

If you're team is going for a quick win then I'd say power treads is enough, but on long gamesit's almost a requirement to buy BoT...

Why ?

You Can ALWAYS Buy Town Portals . Sure Its A Waste of Inventory Slots But So ?! They're Effing Great Did I Mention CHEAP ?

IMO , Town Portals All The Way . PT All The Way. Except For Certain Situations.

I Get BoT For Every Int Hero. Except Furion And Akasha Of Course.

Practically , Town Portals > BoT As Well.

Who Cares About A Cheap 90 MS Boost . A 65 MS Boost + 35% ( i Think ) IAS Is Way Better . If Your Fast , How Could You Attack Fast ?

you can teleport(BoT) to your own units and buildings as well.
TP only allows you to teleport on buildings alone.

until

some jerks on the other side are fond of imitating Furion, TPing from lane to lane to push, and you realise that suddenly they are half the map away. Unfortunately most of these jerks are playing DoTA and are currently training for leagues and IH games. Soon they will invade pubs as well. Laughing

If you're talking about buying both items in a same game then it, IMO, is a total waste of money. Mad

As for attack speed, getting a Midas early on is better as if used right, it pays back the amount of gold you dished out to purchase it. Or better still, if you're going for Butterfly or Cuirass later on in game, why even bother getting Treads?

There are some exceptions to the boots of travel > PTrule:

Meepo - Poof
Furion - Tele
Sven - Sven needs attack speed ASAP

Some High level players are even getting PT on many other heroes since games are finishing much faster now.

I only get BoT with spare money and when we already pushed inside the enemy base, it lets you push further and escape easier
