Dendroid the Corrupted Ancient

A small sapling captured by the Scourge. They have been raising it for years, trying to learn how the Night Elves use the environment to their advantage. This experiment gave the Scourge valuable knowledge about the Sentinel, and with this experiment, they have found ways to counteract against them. Now that this sapling has become a fully-grown tree, the Scourge can now test it against the Sentinel. If it succeds, they will begin growing more saplings, and corrupting the lands with these foul trees.

Hero Model: Corrupted Tree of Eternity
Strength: 26 +2.9 (Primary Attribute)
Agility: 11 +1.2
Intelligence: 17 +1.9
Base HP: 644
Base Mana: 221
Base Armor: 1
Base Movement Speed: 290
Base Attack Speed: 1.61
Base Range: 100 (Melee)

Hero Skills

Consume Tree - Active
The Corrupted Ancient consumes a tree from the forest. It uses its energy to help increase the regeneration of the Tree as it is consumed. 7 second duration. 25 second Cooldown time.

1st Level - Recovers 100 HP over 7 seconds, 40 Mana
2nd Level - Recovers 150 HP over 7 seconds, 60 Mana
3rd Level - Recovers 200 HP over 7 seconds, 80 Mana
4th Level - Recovers 250 HP over 7 seconds, 100 Mana

Entangle - Active
Entangles an enemy, rendering them immobile. The Entangle does small damage per second. Single Target, 400 Casting Range, 20 Second Cooldown. 4 second duration.

1st Level - 6 damage per second. 95 Mana
2nd Level - 12 damage per second. 120 Mana
3rd Level - 18 damage per second. 145 Mana
4th Level - 24 damage per second. 170 Mana

Corrupted Aura - Passive, Aura
An aura radiating from the Ancient. It drains life from the hearts of enemies and gives it to the Ancient's allies. Provides HP Regen to Allies and HP damage to enemies. 400 AoE.

1st Level - 2 HP Regen/Damage per second.
2nd Level - 4 HP Regen/Damage per second.
3rd Level - 6 HP Regen/Damage per second.
4th Level - 8 HP Regen/Damage per second.

Ultimate Skill - Root/Uproot - Activate/Deactivate
The Corrupted Ancient plants itself to the ground, corrupting the land. The corrupted ground is deadly to enemies, but is a safe haven for allies. Allies will recover HP on corrupted ground, but Enemies will take damage. While in rooted form, the Hero cannot move or use skills, but has a ranged attack to attack enemies from a distance. 4 second Casting time to Root/Uproot. 600 AoE Corrupted Ground. 600 Ranged attack. 60 Second Cooldown, Indefinite Duration. 200 Mana to Root, no mana needed to uproot.

1st level - 1% HP Regen for Allies, 15 damage per second to Enemies.
2nd Level - 2% HP Regen for Allies, 30 damage per second to Enemies.
3rd Level - 3% HP Regen for Allies, 45 damage per second to Enemies.

*Cooldown begins as soon as the Hero is uprooted*
*Range Damage is equal to base damage*
*Attack speeed, and all other qualities remain the same*
*Cannot use skills while rooted*
*Corrupted Aura is not in effect while rooted*
*Item Auras are still in effect while rooted, but if activatable, cannot be activated while rooted (Mekansm, Dagon, etc.)
*Linken's Sphere is still Active while Rooted*
*Corrupted ground heals Allied Towers (No effect on enemy buildings).*

I honestly didn't have this one prepared in my head, so there's a lot of mistakes. I couldn't think of any skills, save for the Ultimate. Again, I was just making this up as I go, so it's a random Hero for me. Feel free to make any suggestions...

I'm just making contributions to Hero Ideas....A hero combination Healing Tower....

Base Int too high. Lessen by 2.
Attackspeed too fast. 1.6 is recommended.

Consume Tree = Too weak. Nerf Manacost.
Entangle = Weaker Frostbite. Buff damage and/or duration.
Corrupted Aura = Good enough.
Root/Uproot = Nerf Heal. Fountain does only 4%. You can buff the damage though.

I think this hero is "do-able". Team-player.
Good enough if you ask me.


Questions: Do auras still work in rooted form?

Ya sure i should buff up the Entangle? That's like a combination Stun/Poison ya know...

Well, I like this hero, except what yukino said, I think it's pretty balance.
Question:
How long is uproot casting time?

Hehe...4 second root/uproot casting time...

*Uhh...I dunno the rules for entangled hehe...lets make it...Immobile...can use skills, but can't attack, even if ranged...and also, u can be attacked while entangled, so isn't that a little too much?

Well.. You can use skills when in Frostbite but you can't attack. So it's pretty good.

Could he use items while rooting?
if he can cast skill while rooting, what if he blink (strike) or wind walk?

One more thing.
No pooling?

*Item Auras are still in effect while rooted, but if activatable, cannot be activated while rooted ( Mekansm , Dagon , etc.)

*Linken's Sphere is still Active while Rooted*

If he does a skill while rooting....well that ruins the casting time, so no more rooting....Ya know the rule, u interrupt the casting time, then the spell won't go to effect...same goes for Luna and Sand King with Eclipse and Epicenter...move them too soon or do something else and they won't cast the spell..

Besides..he can't do anything while he's rooting ya know...

And what do u mean by pooling?

About the rooting...He can blink out of it...but i guess that's all he can do...About the windwalk? eh...he's still gonna be tangled...but the entangle will be invisible...so he can escape unharmed...

Just like one game i played..frickin annoying Bone Clinker...I was Skeleton King, and everytime i Storm Bolt him, he goes invisible...We can't see him, but he's still stunned...

Polling...hmm...u really think this is a good hero? I think the Corrupted Tree of Eternity model may be a little too big for Tiny to handle hehehe...but sure...
