Equally (or even more) powerful for Chen-teams is BoT whether for Chen or other allied heroes, because Speed Aura from Kobold is amplified greatly.

This is what i do...

Lv 1 - 15 Power treads for most hero's .. int is exception.. i get int BoT at like lv 10..

15-25 BoT cause this is when most pushes happen and most people move faster due to items and i can't catch up to them .. so i get BoT

I guess your argument about Chen would apply to any heroes on a team expecting to win in 30 minutes or less. Just get him a Mek and hope for GG...lol

PT is more useful nowadays since most games last for less an hour.

BoT are really only good on heroes who don't need attackspeed.
get BoT > PT on a DPS hero when you already get another item to boost attack speed or damage.

they gona sticky this? its a pretty good guide/discussion imo, giv's newbies a good idea on the choices they make in regarding their preferred brand of sneakers . for me its BoT, except for the obvious heroes mentioned b4 such as fv/furion. imo the tele from BoT is a must, it does cost more, but i wud rater spend on it then waste money on tele-scrolls.

Depends, if I have a slow or stun, PT and possibly Kelens (I use it a lot)

If not, or if it will benefit from MS such as Barathrum, BoT.

for me, for heros that can farm easily early n late game such as techies i'll get BoT. for heros dats gonna take time to farm such as naix then i'll get threads. but it also depends on whether that specific hero is most suitable with either BoT or threads during dat game itself

i'd say go for threads on obsidian. his arcane orb + the increase in attacking speed will be damn painful

Well theyve both changed now. BoT gives less ms.... PT needs an attribute item.... I think the agi bonus PT should be bought standard except for Silencer(Int) NightStalker(Int) Obsidian(Int) Dazzle(str) and Banehallow(Str) also PT is more expensive costs 320 gold more..gives +10 of attribute worthit IMO. So unless ur hero really needs ms PT is the way to go!

You can really opt to get either one on harbinger.
i usually get treads because the IAS is great with his new atk animation and high base dmg.
BoT might be better because you can throw on a hyperstone (waste a slot for an int boosting item).

The treads allow u to kill another hero faster and in case he runs. just sheep him, if not cast astral imprisonment. (at least lvl 2) and as a last resort, if he just makes it out, chase him if you are faster, if not i would say its ok to drop an ulti for that kill. 160 c/d isnt too long

but you can choose either way...

i also like the BoT + Refresher tactic.

Drop down two ultis from Harbinger....dont even wanna think about it...

Bot and power tread are both good in diffrent heroes I prefer bot for MOST intelligence heroes because most of them are nukers except for some silencer,enchantress,and furion which i would buy power treads for because for damage dealers the plus 35 percent attack speed is way better then increase movement speed and for furion which can teleport he already kind of have a free Bot for enchantress her impetus skill will get stronger if the hero can run away so she doesn't even need to follow them. and for silencer since he's a damage dealer he doesn't need movement speed. and i would prefer power tread for all agility heroes probably ALL. and for strength heroes i would get MOST of them Bot to because str is tank and doesn't need the enhance atk speed.
