The Noob Hath Arrived!

Hi! I'm a noob to both the forum and Dota. (only 10 games in so far) I will hardely stray out of the dream hero forum, mostly b/c I don't have a clue on how to play heroes, (bar a few) and you've just read the majority of my knowlage on non-basic items.

I tried following a guide once... It gave brown a killing spree in the first few minutes...

I'm guessing the emphasis on readign the rules is to keep the forums from degenerating into the battle.net forums...

Welcome!
Like any other game Dota is about practice.
Another thing that I think is very important is skill knowledge.
You not only have to know your own skills but knowing the skills of your opponent give you a measure of what he/she can do.
So just keep playing a lot of AREM games!
If you have friends ask them to play with you.
In my opinion Razor is a good starting hero.
