Chapter 1 - Prisoner
Mysterious sounds came rumbling through the forest. Lyam woke up. He was scared to death, dreaming about the bitter faces with their demented minds. He looked out of the window, hardly seeing outside because of the reflection, and all he saw was his shivering face. He got out of bed and followed the trail that his hunting group followed everyday. The hunters in the village were the only ones of there who knew the forest well. As for Lyam, he did not know where he was heading.
~
"General Gnollbard, where to?"
"Good question matey, ye got some feast t'night, we'll eat sum of em' humans at a village called Givyne. Dun't take the young'uns to death, we need em', as they're gunna go to the good ol' prison encampent, hear me?" He snarled.
"Aye sir!" the group of hordes saluted and rode off with their agile timber wolves. The general followed them closely, ready to raid the villages.
~
Nobody knew what was coming, except Lyam. He was expecting all his friends and family to experience pain and death as he saw hordes of gnolls take a left turn off the road, into the village. He was already in the forest, and was in grave danger, so he sought to finish whatever he was thinking and hid in the crypt. He went inside, and the door shut by itself, acting like it has been enchanted by mythical magic from his ancestors. Lyam went downstairs the circle of stairs. The staircase was marble and rich with gold encriptions on the floor. Once Lyam had reached the bottom floor, he was about 50 feet below the ground. Though he never knew what the crypt was made for, he hid in the most sacred place of Garvard.
~
The hordes of gnolls came rushing in, burning the wooden houses down and deviously eating the people Lyam knew. The soldiers gathered up and fought for their lives, even though they knew they could never withstand a wolf's bite. Beneath the ground, Lyam could hear the echoes of mothers crying out for their babies and soldiers dying. He could not do anything at all, and that dissapointed him very much. He was a war-torn orphan. Above the dirt, the gnolls had finished feasting and destroying the village and gathered around in a a circle.
"Good job mateys! That's gunna be our dinna t'night, anyways blokes, the task ain't done yet, search for peeople hiding in hidden spots.
~
A few minutes later, Lyam could hear the gnolls rampaging downstairs, knowing that he would die.
"There's a kid down here" said one of the gnoll mercenaries.
"Go, take him to the general, he might be on of the only teenagers here who can fight." The commanding gnoll ordered.
The gnoll rushed downstairs and picked up the fearful Lyam, jabbing his claws in his shoulders, shaking him like a dead body. The despicable gnoll went upstairs and to the general, carrying the lifeless kid.
"You.... stupid! You killed him!" The general shouted, aggravated while looking at his prize.
"I'm sure he's not sir, let me check his pulse, he might be unconscious sir, that's all." The gnoll took out his palm and was about to accidentally jab his sharp nails into his heart out of stupitidy. The general stopped him quickly, before Lyam was dead for real.
"Cut your nails mercenary! Go back to camp, you'll feast half of what we are gonna eat!". The gnoll checked Lyam's pulse and he was releived, he was going to get gold.
"Okay, lets go to the prison, crew!"
~
Lyam was conscious again, waking up on the back of a wolf in a slow, walking pace. The gnolls were all riding their wolves, heading straight onto the crossroads. Lyam was still in the Garvard realm, but far away from Givyne village. Suddenly, he slowly started regaining memories from last night. The sounds, the burning and death and the hiding of the crypt. Soon after his consciousness, the horizon was starting to look like a wooden gate. As they approached closer and closer, it was clearly visible. There was a large wooden gate with a watchtower right beside it. Inside the watchtower was a mean looking goblin. He nodded as he pressed a button to open the door. On Lyam's way in, the goblin dropped a sack of gold to the general. The general smiled and went through the gate. In far distance, you could still hear the goblin shouting, "Where are the rest of the humans?".
"Sorry matey, we were hungry."
Rage and anger started to build up within Lyam's body. But he settled. They were entering an old prison of the scourge camps.
~
He was violently thrown into the jail. He saw tortured looks on the on the other people's faces, imprisoned.

I hate wrong grammar, it reminds me of the b*tch of a teacher I had. So if you don't want to remind me of that b*tch of a teacher, take grammar lessons.

The Escape
Posted: Tue Mar 04, 2008 12:58 pmAfter a week of torture, pain, hunger and thirst, Lyam became a slave. He mined gold, hunted in the wildernous, ate small portions of rotton, left-over meat. He couldn't stand it. After several attempts of squeezing through the jail bars, digging underground and pleading the guards to unlock him, there was no way he could escape this tortmented chamber.
Although he was tortured, he was happy that the fact that he had a nice room-mate, apart from the others that didn't. He was a priest from Darnassus. He had a smart Night-elf look. Many times had he called to talk with Lyam. A couple of times has Lyam interrupted on of the priest's quiet meditation. This time, the priest had called Lyam himself.
"Lyam, we need to talk." Said Ytum. The young boy walked over to the priest's side, hesitating.
"Yes?"
"There is an Omen that I received from the ancients, it says that there will be an oppurtunity to escape, I am one-hundred percent gauranteed" He said with a smile.
A long silence came between the two.
"When?"
"Tonight, while feasting"
An orc came rushing through the doors.
"Oi, all ye get out nu en feast!" He unlocked all the prisons, and off all the people went.
Mirana rushed and galloped with her strong and agile beast through the woods. She was aided and navigated by Bradwarden.
They raced onto the path of the crossroads, followed by hordes of sentinal ghouls. The whole group arrived at the prison gate. They stealthily dismantled the support for the tower. The goblin falled out with a shrieking cry.
"You take the prisoners and I'll handle the guards" Mirana left with her bow and ferocious animal, as Bradwarden prepared his axe. The creeps rushed into the main tower of the prison, defeating and killing all the guards. The Centaur came into the feasting room and handled all the main guards from there, easily hacking them down. He let out a cry that told everyone to follow him. Lyam and the priest were releived. As proceding outside, you could hear murmurs of Lyam and the priest's chat.
"I never knew Omens were really, real."
"The ancients never lie my friend, never."
On the way out, it seemed that the prison had alraedy called the near camps to come out to fight. It was a bloody battle. On the way out, Lyam and the Priest fell into a deep fission, covered with spiny thorns. They were badly wounded, and Bradwarden had noticed, so he dropped his hooves down and captured Lyam, knowing that there was no time to save the Priest.
"It was fine knowing you, although my time is at end, and my time was only to message the omen."
He lay there about to be eaten by the deadly ghouls. The Centaur knew and ran away into the darkness of the woods.
