Vicious - The BloodHound

Posted: Fri Apr 04, 2008 7:26 pm

This was my official entry, but then the competition didn't really turn out the way it should have.. so here it is.. just wanted to get some feedbacks..

Vicious – The Bloodhound
Range: Melee / Move speed: 320
Primary: Agility
Str: 19 + 2.2
Agi: 21 + 2.6
Int: 15 + 1.5
HP: 511 / HP Regen: 0.76
Mana: 195 / Mana Regen: 0.63
Damage: 43 - 54 / Attack Speed: 1.42
Armor: 3

Vicious was a bloodhound used as a lab experiment by Vol’jin that failed. Dissatisfied, Vol’jin throws him out of his lair. However, the witch doctor’s expirement was not a real failure; in fact, his destructive nature was just waiting to surface. The taste of blood awakens the murderous intentions inside him. With just a taste of their blood, Vicious can familiarize himself with his preys. Vicious has been known to obsess over his preys, so consumed that no magic known to ancient earth could stop him from causing death. Vicious lays dormant in the undead forest at the outskirts of the Scourge’s fortress, awaiting his next meal. Lurking in the dark, waiting for the chance to bury his fangs.

Hostile: Active
When bloodhounds show hostility, they usually creep slowly on a target, waiting, and then finally attempts to strike. Vicious reduces his move speed for a short period to gather his strength, then bursts at high speed for the next several seconds, gains amplified damage on initial attack.
Level 1: Slows down by 10% for 2 seconds, then gains 10% move speed for 8 seconds. Initial attack deals 150% damage.
Level 2: Slows down by 20% for 2 seconds, then gains 20% move speed for 8 seconds. Initial attack deals 200% damage.
Level 3: Slows down by 30% for 2 seconds, then gains 30% move speed for 8 seconds. Initial attack deals 250% damage.
Level 4: Slows down by 40% for 2 seconds, then gains 40% move speed for 8 seconds. Initial attack deals 300% damage.
Mana Cost: 120
Cooldown: 30/27/24/21
Notes: When dogs show hostility, they usually move slowly, showing their fangs, “grrrr” before waiting to pounce on their target. This is based on that fact.

Scar: Active
Vicious leaves his mark on a target by causing a wound that will scar. He also gets to tastes the blood of his victim, heightening his senses for the next confrontation. However, the bloodhound is a sadistic, obsessed individual, and his acts are selfishly for his own satisfaction.
Level 1: Deals 60 damage, leaves a ripe wound that would eventually scar. Gains the smell of blood of the target. Can sense the marked enemy if he’s within 1000 range.
Level 2: Deals 120 damage, leaves a ripe wound that would eventually scar. Gains the smell of blood of the target. Can sense the marked enemy if he’s within 1400 range.
Level 3: Deals 180 damage, leaves a ripe wound that would eventually scar. Gains the smell of blood of the target. Can sense the marked enemy if he’s within 1800 range.
Level 4: Deals 240 damage, leaves a ripe wound that would eventually scar. Gains the smell of blood of the target. Can sense the marked enemy if he’s within 2200 range.
Mana Cost: 120
Cooldown: 21/19/17/15
Notes: The scar left will activate the obsession skill. The scar is destroyed when the enemy hero or Vicious dies. However, scar forms 30 seconds after the bite. Only then will the obsession skill work.

Obsession: Passive
The bloodhound is obsessed with his targets, in fact he’s so consumed over them that his obsession fuels his aggression when facing those scarred targets. When the marked target loses a huge fraction of his hit points, the bloodhound can already imagine the target as a free meal that should only be his, he becomes almost unstoppable.
Level 1: Gains 10% attack speed and 10 bonus damage when attacking the marked target.
When a target’s hit points drops below 20%, the bloodhound gains magic immunity.
Level 2: Gains 20% attack speed and 20 bonus damage when attacking the marked target.
When a target’s hit points drops below 25%, the bloodhound gains magic immunity.
Level 3: Gains 30% attack speed and 30 bonus damage when attacking the marked target.
When a target’s hit points drops below 30%, the bloodhound gains magic immunity.
Level 4: Gains 40% attack speed and 40 bonus damage when attacking the marked target.
When a target’s hit points drops below 35%, the bloodhound gains magic immunity.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A

Ferocious: Passive
His fangs get sharper and longer every time he tastes blood. The enhanced fangs lasts for 7 seconds after each successful increase. However each increase cost mana.
Level 1: 3% chance to bury his fangs on a target, deals 10 damage and maims target, slowing its attack speed and move speed by 10% for 3 seconds. Chance increases by 3% more every time buries his fangs thereby also increasing damage by 3 and maim by 3%. Capped at 24% chance
Level 2: 6% chance to bury his fangs on a target, deals 20 damage and maims target, slowing its attack speed and move speed by 20% for 3 seconds. Chance increases by 6% more every time buries his fangs thereby also increasing damage by 6 and maim by 6%. Capped at 48% chance
Level 3: 9% chance to bury his fangs on a target, deals 30 damage and maims target, slowing its attack speed and move speed by 30% for 3 seconds. Chance increases by 9% more every time buries his fangs thereby also increasing damage by 9 and maim by 9%. Capped at 72% chance
Mana Cost: 20/30/40
Cooldown: N/A
Notes: This is the only slowing skill the bloodhound has, since he has no disables. Chance to bury his fangs increases after every successful bury, also increases maim and damage.

For example: When the bloodhound successfully buries his fangs on a target, at level 3 his chances increase to 18%, deals 39 damage, maims by 39%. Then next attack will be at 27% chance, deals 48 damage, maims by 48%. Then next attack will be at 36% chance to bury fangs, dealing 57 damage, maiming by 57%.

Chance at level 3 is capped at 72%, when achieved, he gains 72% chance to deal 93 damage and maims target by 93% for 3 seconds.

Item Build:
Early:
Power Treads
Vladmir's Offering
Bracers

Late Game:
Butterfly
BKB
