Basic game tactics.

Well, I live in a different country than most of you guys, and battle strategies are a lot of different. I am no pro (but not a noob) but one thing I know is that, if a hero is fragile, at the beginning get a Stout Shield and fill up with tangos. If the hero can absorb damage, get BoS and fill the rest with Tango's. No one cares about bracers and almost every intelligence hero has a Vanguard by level 10ish. Sometimes, with really fragile heroes (I find Magina extremely creep-unfriendly) I get 2 vanguards.

Communication is another very important thing, warning about ganks, etc.

And, if you wanna gain an idea about when you should run, o not look at the hp level bar, look at yours and your enemies' speed of draining. If you think like that, you usually figure out (sometimes you die in the process) And consider nukes of enemy heroes all the time.

Play all the heroes there is. If you play them, then you learn their strategy so it is easier to make last minute counter or escape strategies rather than to be caught by suprise.

That's all I can say.

Oh, and even if your HP is red, d not go off your lane, try to get exp and if you feel like opponent is ocupied enough not to notice you, last hit.

if you go 1 vs. 1, dagon is the best bet.

yes i read the earlier posts about how dagon drains your mana, but for most hero's, they have another nuke. its guaranteed kill.

think about his, dagon is 1000 (staff) + 650 (blades) + 1350 (recipe) = 3000 gold. In an arem game that more than enough to buy anything that can help your mana pool.

if you are faceless or naix, then don't get dagon since it is hard to wear away life.

everyone else, get a dagon. it is the best bet by far.

Example:

You are beast master. Last hit/deny until level 3. Use wild axes twice. dagon. if they aren't dead, they are going back to base, which gives you time to level up more.

You are pugna (favorite hero) attack enemy, netherblast if enemy is within range. Decrepify, dagon

Hmm.. I dont know bout u guys, but where im from, there are 2 ways of playing , when we play amongst ourselves, we usually take it lightly and play in whatever way we feel but when we play serious team games (The ones vs other groups of friends) where we wanna win, we assign a group leader(usually the most experienced player) who calls for pushes, calls for defending, commands stuff, devises in-game strats etc so that we dont get confused during an all out 5v5 battle, its usually very effective, as most team games are won on strategy and planning and having 1 leader(too many cooks spoil the soup) so evryone doesnt go do their own thing and freelance. Teamwork and leadership is a very important thing in dota(and in life).

Wouldnt u agree with this pre-game strat? assigning a leader who calls all the shots.

The one thing alot of ppl forget is tp scrolls or bot.nothing is worse than being on the other side of the map nd your oppenents are desimating your base

another thing kills dont win matches survival does,wats the point of having 12 kills for 10 deaths? When with good survival tactics you could stay out early game till lvl9 or so nd have enough gold to buy an important item nd go 9 kills for maybe 1 to 3 deaths and end up winning the match.

Also dont go neutral creeping when in a lane you can see 3 heroes pushing,get your allies together plan a strategic attack and go take care of them,dont let your allies die and then go call them feeders when you didnt help

hey..whtz up ppl? I just saw this topic and thought of sharing a lil knowledge i know..the experience tactics wat so ever u call it is nuthin but denying ..the better u are at denying the better ur game gets..when u deny ur opponent gets lesser xp but u lvl up the same..practice to get the last shot of ur creep or opponent..
