sven or slardar?

I completely agree with Extasy. Sven has almost no chasing capabilites, except for throwing his hammer, while on the other hand, Slardar is made to be a chaser. That is until late game when he goes permabashing. In this case i would go for Slardar because that damage amp makes both of you do more damage to someone while Sven's GS only makes him do more damage.

dude...u think negative on sven maybe you can't use him well.. if u are in GS your damage is= base damage+200% so it means even if ur enemy has 50% armor reduction sven has 100% dmage+base damage and sven has a better lane control than slardar...sven can spam stun easily with a high chance that the enemy will get stunned while with slardar you need to come near the opponents.BTW,you said that who will sven try to chase?in a 2v2 game with sven and vengeful...there is a very low chance that the enemy will be alive at the swap gs+stun stun combo.and even if the opponent survives with that..both of them will just follow the hero while waiting the stun to cooldown..


Slardar got a chance to chase magina and others who got escape mechanisms.Slardar is one of the best chasers in dota but he can't tank well at early-mid game because you need all the skill..u also stated that slardar can see clinkz and gondar with ulti and sven can't..what if they bought gem or wards?dude you hate sven too much..and never knew what are sven's capabilities

True.. but I think you both make sense here.

Slardar is to be feared by most but with VS in a 2v2 I would go with Sven. Their stuns have better synergy in the close combat fight you will encounter. You will not need VS's ult to get the enemy with both of them having high damage ranged stuns you only need arcane ring to spam that damage. Additionally, cleave will lead to better pushes and Sven is a tower killer. Slardar would not be a poor choice, however, because his stuns will work well too. In any case I am leaning towards Sven.

let's face it both are good in 2 on 2 with venge as an ally
but IMO sven is better because god strenght plus command aura will give sven some major damage

Actually guys, Slardar deals WAY more damage then Sven(I know he is strong but not as much as Slardar)

-15 armor level 3 ult
-6 dmg with desolator
-5 armor with AC

-26 armor total + 510 ms with Treads with 2.5 sec stun and 2 sec slow

Sven has a 2 sec stun, but is slow
GS is strong... but never as strong as Slardar

2v1 I'll say Sven because of 75% cleave with Bfury

But otherwise, SLARDAR is the way to go

I think I'm gonna play him now actually, lol

Slardar and Sven are both viable choices. However one is easier and depending on the situation, the other hero is better.

Let's consider the combo.

Slardar
1) VS Swap (VS has to be near Slardar)
2) Slardar times this and WaterStuns
3) Slardar Ulti and stars bashing
4) VS Stuns and attacks (or armour reduce then attack)
5) Possible kill?

Sven
1) VS Swap, Sven Ults (Does not have to be near Sven)
2) Sven Stuns
3) Both Hit as VS Armour Reduces
4) Possible kill?

- Sven's high attack is good but it doesn't offer bash like Slardars, therefore, Slardar is better at killing WW or Blinkers because of his stun.
- Slardar's combo relies heavily on the stun factor and it requires numerous requisites before and during the combo takes effect. Slardar's combo is derivative of chance and more fidgety.

Choose your opponent wisely.

slardar..the stun is longer and he has armor reduction that can easily kill the opponent. and you can chase them with your sprint..

if sven vs. slardar. slardar will surely win

slardar for sure, slardar has a AOE stun, chasing ability, and sysnergy with armor reduction on sven, and slardar can pawn easy because he have a bash,
and deso + cuirass + terror + command aura, is enough to kill because of the massive reduces of armor, and slardar doesnt need so much damage, because of -armor of enemy, while sven, can he chase magina? can he see gondar? not, so slardar is better than sven, for me,
