How to play DotA properly?

I can only play DotA at cybercafes, but I would love to play it on battle.net, so that I could play almost everyday. Someone tell me how to save DotA into my warcraft folders?

Also, I can't seem to patch my warcraft to the right version. After I download the patch and use it, I can't play my warcraft disk anymore.

Someone help me!

1] Just save the DotA maps in the Warcraft Maps folder ( default is C:/Program Files/Warcraft III/Maps )

2] Is your Warcraft original or not?

It is original ( i think so, at least ). I can't open the map, it will say something like : 'not enough memory to execute the following....blah blah blah.

uninstall warcraft then install it.

Could be a RAM problem, or too much programs running in the background. Either way, Warcraft needs an adequeate amount of resources, moreso DotA.

wat bout ur 3D capacility. Are u using the original version of warcraft?. I saved the map in frozen throne/ maps and it worked fine for me. But when i tried in warcraft,it did nto work. So try doin it in frozen throne

Hmm, if you think everything's fine, but still can't play, maybe you should call an experienced technician to fix it for you. It's kinda hard to troubleshoot when we're miles away. Wink
