Heroes I get Lothars on:
Agility: VS, Luna, Sniper, Drow, Veno, Viper, Nevermore.
Strength (not core item): Centaur, Axe, Pudge.
Intelligence: Witch Doctor.

Unacceptable: any Windwalker or Blinker, Techies (do NOT make me explain that again).

As I said, opinion thread. Flame me and hammers will become involved...

threatening messages are unacceptable shim.

but yeah, basically no windwalker should get lothars unless against a stackload of silence (drow + krob or something) in which case the invisibility might just save your life.

i actually used it on nerub assasin once. It worked. The stats still boost a lot. My probleme was that the enemy always went in groups of 2 at least and i wasnt capable (yet) of taking both out at once. So i vendetta in, kill 1 and escape out with lothars. But that was very situational in that game and its not something id usually suggest.

But for some heroes lothars is a core item (if not THE core item). example veno, SF, Ursa, witch doctor. If it is core item then it is used to initiate the attack.
Other good heroes that are capable to use full potential of lothars: sniper, drow, viper and for those heroes having an escape will also be quite handy at some point.

you can just wait until the cooldown of vendetta is close to being over and then start the kill so you can then use vendetta to get away, although I don't think NA has that kind of mana without some good int items


at one point I was a noob and got Lothars on PL, yes on PL. I now know better

yes lothars is better on agi heroes i tried (Ulfsaar particularly-my practice hero)but in real games i played its much helpful to get blink dagger for initiating because its faster to acquire.you can farm for lothars but you'll be missing out on most of the action or risk getting killed rather than killing them first.i haven't experienced facing more than 2 opponents with that order of items though,can't comment on that.

Lothars is not going to be purely for escape. That's what I say. Heroes like Nevermore or Ulfsaar love it for all reasons though.

lothar's would be a great item on agi but its not gud for clinkz,..
not all agi heroes get much benefit from this item,.. think again!

yes, str can also use this item,..like what bleeper reaper said it works alot on SK rather than the old strat epi then blink! that sucks!

I saw a Leviathan with Lothars today He recked the other team though =/

Edit: I also like getting this item on Crystal Maiden since the windwalk lasts longer than my ulti, giving me more than enough time to escape if needed.
