Yea its too painful.

That guy who sucked at vengeful is usually good, but this time he said he "didn't feel like playing good". lol. Hes a good guy though.

Oh and as for the match VS team GNC, we would have fought them but we didn't qualify for the finals. T_T . We probably would have had a loss too because they are really godlike.

Oh don't worry about the chen and sylla combo. We got our best player at syllabear, and the best micromanager(me) on chen.

Next tournament is in january *plays eye of the tiger song* we will start to train rocky style.. Very Happy

Well, good luck on that next tourney. Kill 'em all! Bwahahaa! Very Happy

Can you give me some tips on how to play Chen? I suck at him, and I suck at microing. Laughing

Well em, here is what you should do with chen.

There are basicly two ways to play him.

Nuke or support. For organized team matches you must go support.

Support:

Skill build: First concentrate on holy persuasion(max it asap), and pertinence.

HP
Pert
pert
HP
HP
ulti
HP
pert
pert
status
ulti
status.

First item you must get is Mechanism(its the most imbalanced item in the game, and imagine mechanism + chen ulti). Then you would get either Guinsoo or aegis/heart.

You creep army should at all times atleast have one stunner. the other two are preffered to be either yellow sartyr or the big kobold with speed aura. The best army you can get is 1 centaur, 1 sartyr, and 1 kobold commander. This way you get all 3 speed auras.

Put your chen in 1 control group and all the creeps in the second control group, the game will usually put the stunner first so when u click the control group you directly get him(centaur or ursa warrior). Have the creeps follow chen all the time, and when attacking, tell them to go AHEAD of the enemy, then cast petninence to slow him down then stun and focus fire. Ofcourse you are supposed to have your teammates too. Usually with a good team, any hero you cast petninence on is a dead hero.

Practice micro by playing melee maps ^^.

Nuke strategy:

Basicly here is the skill build

HP
petinence
ToF
petincence
ToF
ToF
petinence
ToF
Petinence
Ulti
Ulti
Status
Ulti
Status.

Here you would only get the centaur creep in the begining or any stun creep, the sartyr is also good because he adds to the nuke.

Items: Mainly you should get:

Dagon(max)
Hex
Aegis.
(refresher?)

This strategy is for solo play, if you aren't with a team u know. Basicly just petinence > ToF/dagon then hit them till they die. This strategy is very limited in the end game, however.

Wow, that was really helpful, HH! Thanks a lot! Cool

I need to practice more on microing than managing Chen's skills.

There's also times in the game where it's better to just help your team than look for neutrals to persuade. I believe I need to have experience on that part, coz it's frustrating to have your teammates dead when you're looking for creeps. You're not a good Chen player if that happens. And I was blamed for how we lost hehe...

Oh, no problem. And btw in team games you go neutral creeping from level 1. This way 2 of your teammates can solo. For example in our strategy we will have syllabear and Morph to solo because they are the most important late heroes. All you have to do is walk around the bottom creeps for senti or the top creeps for scourge, and if you get a good chance you can quickly come to backstab your enemies mid/bot or help defend. Ofcourse you should have observer wards around you to prevent the enemy from BSing you instead O.o.

Btw, here is a general tip for new teams, and also random teams: Always assign 1-2 players to buy observer wards all the game and put them around important areas. You won't believe the edge those stuff will give you. Also try to never leave an opponent to farm without anyone harrassing him. Don't get distracted a lot by an enemy push(it might be a diversion).

btw i'll be making a new chen guide for team play, not like the one we already have now.

Thanks again, HH. Smile Yeah I'll be looking forward to your Chen guide.

Must begin practice. Smile

And once again, good luck on your next tourney. Say no to -em! And I wish we could see the replays, hehe. Smile

If you REALLY have a good 'micro management' ability,
I suggest for getting helm of dominator and Necronomicon.
It will be really nightmare for your enemies!

Imagine:
3 units from holy persuasion
2-3 units from helm of dominator (it has 20 minute durations and 5 minutes cooldown)
2 units from Necronomicon.

Basilius is quiet good to make your 'army' stronger.

Be careful with akasha or venomancer or any hero else who has strong AoE spell.....

If you wish to have a team of " army ",
It will be great for you to have:
Syllabear
Chen
Enigma
Furion
Aiustha ('enchat' build)
Or replace one of them by Purish the Omni knight

Summon all then...........guardian!!
attackkkkkkkkk

^_^
