Phoenix – The Fire Bird
Range: 400 / Move Speed: 315
Primary: INT
Str: 18 + 1.5 / Agi: 16 + 1.5 / Int: 19 + 3.2
Damage: 37 – 55 / HP: 492 / Mana: 247
HP Regen: 1.00 / Mana Regen: 0.70
Attack Speed: 1.43 / Armor: 0
The Fire Bird has lived since the beginning of time; century after century she dies in a burst of flames only to be reborn once again, as powerful as ever. She lives her mystical life in peace with the elements, soaring through the heavens soaking up the rays from the sun. When the Orcs fought battles with the elves and humans she paid little mind; as these things would happen from time to time. Suddenly, however, Phoenix noticed a new and powerful force creeping across the lands below. She descended to find the world in ruin with undead sweeping across the globe killing everything in their wake. Enraged by the hasty destruction all around her she has decided to unleash her fiery power in defense of life.

Fire Walk (W)
Phoenix releases fire in a area around her burning all enemies within the range. The fire remains in the area for 2.5 seconds and deals DPS based on the level.
Level 1 – AOE 100, Burns for 20 DPS
Level 2 – AOE 150, Burns for 30 DPS
Level 3 – AOE 200, Burns for 40 DPS
Level 4 – AOE 250, Burns for 50 DPS
Mana Cost: 10/15/20/25 per second activated
Cooldown: 0
Framework: Similar looking to the auto fire of Jakiro. Similar function to that of Pudge’s Rot (w/out slow).
Notes: Excellent farming tool if used properly and a strong deterrent for melee heroes. Best when used while being chased. Excellent synergy with Heat Wave, everything will burn!

Heat Wave (T)
Phoenix surges forward with the intensity of the sun dealing damage to all enemies in her wake.
Level 1 – Range of 400, Damage 90
Level 2 – Range of 500, Damage 150
Level 3 – Range of 600, Damage 210
Level 4 – Range of 700, Damage 280
Mana Cost: 90/100/110/120
Cooldown: 10
Framework: Same as wave form of Morphling except the range improves with each lvl. Will look very similar to dragon slave of Lina only slightly wider.

True Form
The Fire Bird becomes enraged by the ravages of war and becomes increasingly linked with her inner flame.
Level 1 – 10% reduction to physical attacks, but losses 5% magical resistance.
Level 2 – 20% reduction to physical attacks, but losses 10% magical resistance.
Level 3 – 30% reduction to physical attacks, but losses 15% magical resistance.
Level 4 – 40% reduction to physical attacks, but losses 20%magical resistance.
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 0
Framework: Phoenix becomes wreathed in flames. By lvl 4 she is no longer her physical self but a fiery shape of the physical form she was before the ability.

Rebirth
Phoenix dies in a massive burst of flames damaging all enemies with in an area around her. She then takes the form of a mystical egg for 15 seconds before hatching into her glorious self again.
Level 1 – 350 Damage/300AOE. Egg has 500 HP and 40 armor. 40% magic immunity.
Level 2 – 550 Damage/450AOE. Egg has 750 HP and 60 armor. 60% magic immunity.
Level 3 – 750 Damage/650AOE. Egg has 1000 HP and 80 armor. 80% magic immunity.
Mana Cost: 350/450/550
Cooldown: 200/170/140 seconds
Framework: Looks just like techies remote mine explosion; additionally, there will be a blast out to he full AOE looking like shivas only red instead of blue. After the explosion there will be an aegis of the immortal type re-spawn image and at the center a smoldering egg will appear. After 15 seconds, if the egg is not destroyed, Phoenix will re-spawn at that location with full mana and health.
Notes: Can be used as a last ditch effort to escape death or a finalizing nuke to finish off your enemy. Beware, if you do not kill your enemies with the blast you will be stuck praying that the enemy will not destroy your stationary egg before it hatches.

I think she would be a blast to play with. Early game you would have some trouble with your short range attack and high mana-cost spells that require you to be in the middle of the action. Mid game you would farm like crazy with the Heat Wave/Fire Walk combo. I gave her high MS so that she can chase down her enemies with the Fire Walk activated and b/c she has such a short ranged attack. I may need to buff the Flame On skill, please give suggestions.
Items:
BoT: Fire Walking to death.
Refresher Orb: A must for your ult. You re-spawn with full mana so you can definitely Double ult with this! Also… good mana regen.
Eye of Skadi: Slow them with ice and let them burn.

Comments: I posted this idea about 6 months ago. I am looking to fix it up so it may have a chance for approval.

Hmm, overall nice hero.

Story: Nothing special. Not stupid though like many stories in the hero idea section.

1st skill: Nice one, pretty innovative though I don't like the combination of 2 existing skills, it ain't bad at all.

2nd skill: Nice one, much similar to Morphling's Waveform though.

3rd: My fav skill of your hero Smile. That's what makes him the nightmare of some badass lategamers.

Ultimate: VERY nice, it's just that I think it is much better than the reincarnation of SK. 80 armor is 90% damage reduction, and 80% magic resistance is a bit much and the 15 seconds to reborn is an advantage when they gang you IMO. It gives time for your allies to come, and if they try to focus on your egg, they would be vulnerable to the rest of your team. Really nice concept though. Just modify it a bit IMO.

It would be a nice idea to make the respawn time be 7-10 seconds, and every time she is reborn to come back in life stronger ( like one point in each stat or one point in a random stat), so that it combines with your story Smile.

I would give it a 8.5/ 10

@Jimboh: Thanks for your thoughts....
Story: Will work on it but its hard to get something original when there are 1000 hero ideas in here all for the exact same scenario (defense of the acients), anyway, point noted.
1st Skill: I like this one because it makes chasing you impossible. Imagine taking 50 dps the entire time you are running behind a hero... bad day for chasers.
2nd Skill: It is similar to Morph's skill but I think the image would look sweet if you have the 1st skill activated, haha.
3rd Skill: Thanks, I like it too.
Ulti: Thanks. I have struggled with this for a while. I still am not sure how to change it though. The more I think about it the less I understand how to make it strong enough but balanced. Hopefully someone will give me some insight that sets this one right. I like your sugestions, they are under advisement.

I love your idea . the phoenix
his ultimate is awesome. about to get kill use rebirth= kill hero plus no death. the cooldown is good to. I also like her first and second skill. the second skill is really well done. similiar to waveform but she got a fast attack speed so its good. your idea made the perfect nuker. the egg is well balanced to. 80 armor is alot of armor but also the duration as a egg is 15 seconds which is alot. but that makes it balance. So a bunch of heroes can take you down.

@pomlaos I thought so too, though the armor is high the egg is just sitting there so I figure if you ult in a bad spot they will be able to take it out. I was also thinking that if they kill you while your in egg form you should lose one from each stat and if you kill someone with your ult you should gain one to each stat??? What do you think of that?

veery nice hero...
how about you would make ur ulti so that he is reborn as a small phoenix and then grows in about 10 sec to the actual big one...so e.g. you are smaller and probs faster but cannot use your 1st + 3rd skill and have less dmg...so you wouldn't just own in ganks... (Idea from harry potter Wink)

about the 80 armor...just make it like 20hp but every attack deals only 1 hp dmg and damages the attacker or immolates him Wink
