Name spoofer

Hello guys!
I have a question that needs to be answered,so here goes:
I was in an internet cafe and there was a guy sitting on my left and he was in Battlenet.While he was in the custom game menu he minimized warcraft 3 and downloaded something called a name spoofer and it had some color chooses and something like that.Can anyone tell me what exactly it does?

It changes your name when you join a game. So you can log onto your account but when you join a game you're under a different name.

I think onigakure, for hiding true identiny. Sometimes, if someone gets in trouble, they tend to change their username.

"trouble" meaning died 20 times in a row I think... It would be useful... Just one account but an unlimited set of names... Also, I found a LAN spoofer... This allows you to pick a colour that your profile uses at ALL times... So even if your the 6th(pink) player, when you kill your name will be blue or whatever colour you chose... It also works before you start the game and when you're picking teams...

Some battle nets do allow that.. but your IP address still the same.

You can see before the game "**** has the same IP address as *****" and the like..

well as what yuki said those are samples for trouble.

I can understand why some ppl would want it. when you get killed a lot in one game ppl dont want you in the followup game. its hard on noobs out here

Ah... Someone who understood what I said... Anyway, I havent played on battle net and never plan on doing so... But I'm curious: you said something about revealing your IP address... If they do that, whats the point of the Name spoofer?

Usually the host can track down your IP address but not literally mean that they would post it as 123.45.678.90 and the like.

At times when you're in the banlist they say "**** was banned for leaving the game **** on ****" which are available on their sites.

But that's only applicable if it's BANLIST ON mode.
most pub games hosts on battlenet don't do so.
