Tony Stark - the Ironman (June BC Entry)

Posted: Wed Jun 17, 2009 7:27 pm

Tony Stark - the Iron Man
Range: 300 | Move Speed: 290
Primary: STR
Str: 21 + 2.6 | Agi: 16 + 1.3 | Int: 19 + 2.5
Damage: 53 - 63 | HP: 549 | Mana: 247
HP Regen: 0.88 | Mana Regen: 0.77
Attack Speed: 1.4 | Armor: 5

Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark is a man with a complicated history. He was a genius, attending MIT at the age of 15. His parents died in a car crash resulting him inheriting his company from his father. When he was just an ordinary rich scientist, studying military technologies, he was trapped and kidnapped to manufacture weapons for a criminal. However, he had a piece shrapnel lodged in his heart, with the risk of killing him. Thus he and Yo Hinsen, his fellow prisoner, maybe formed the first Iron Man suit when they were developing a chest plate to keep him alive. Escaping after they manufactured the metallic suit, he became the Iron Man. Equipped with an alter ego capable of withstanding nuclear explosions, Tony Stark is a formidable enemy with dangerous weapons.

Vario-Chestbeam (E)
The Iron Man suit has a beam projector built into the chest. Various beams can be produced with various effects besides damaging one target. 900 cast range.
Level 1 - Damage: 70 Infrared beam: Deals 15 dps for 3 seconds to the target. Blacklight beam: Gives sight over enemy heroes 700 units away from the target. Lasts 1 second. UV beam: Deals AoE damage around the hero, 50 range. Intense beam: Knockback for 50.
Level 2 - Damage: 140 Infrared beam: Deals 20 dps for 3 seconds to the target. Blacklight beam: Gives sight over enemy heroes 1400 units away from the target. Lasts 1 second. UV beam: Deals AoE damage around the hero, 100 range. Intense beam: Knockback for 100.
Level 3 - Damage: 210 Infrared beam: Deals 25 dps for 3 seconds to the target. Blacklight beam: Gives sight over enemy heroes 1750 units away from the target. Lasts 2 seconds. UV beam: Deals AoE damage around the hero, 150 range. Intense beam: Knockback for 150.
Level 4 - Damage: 280 Infrared beam: Deals 30 dps for 3 seconds to the target. Blacklight beam: Gives sight over enemy heroes 2100 units away from the target. Lasts 3 seconds. UV beam: Deals AoE damage around the hero, 200 range. Intense beam: Knockback for 200.
25% for infrared beam, 20% for blacklight beam, 30% UV beam and 25% intense beam. Basically a single target nuke with different kinds of things happening. Blacklight range is from the target, not you. Revealed heroes have 300 range away from them revealed.
Mana Cost: 100/120/140/150
Cooldown: 14
Framework: A red beam is launched. After it hits the target; -If Infrared is activated, target has ignite framework, burn status shows on the bar. -If blacklight triggers, then all the revealed enemy heroes will become white tinted and have very small light explosions (like KotL's blinding light spell) every .5 second. -If UV occurs, the area around the target light up purple -If intense light hits, the target is automatically displaced.
Notes: Don't let all the different effects confuse you, just a simple nuke with an added effect.

Power Jets (R)
The Ironman flies! Uses the prepulsion system on the feat to boost and fly. Gains flying pathing and 50% evasion. Cannot attack in this form but can cast spells. The movement speed is reduced in this state, but if the Iroman travels in a straight line, it accelerates.
Level 1 - Movement speed reduced to 100, slow acceleration. Lasts 3 seconds.
Level 2 - Movement speed reduced to 140, slow acceleration. Lasts 4 seconds.
Level 3 - Movement speed reduced to 130, medium acceleration. Lasts 5 seconds.
Level 4 - Movement speed reduced to 200, fast acceleration. Lasts 6 seconds.
If you don't change your direction, your movespeed increases by (slow=50 units/second, medium=75 units/second, fast=100 units/second) per second. BTW, the movespeed reduction sets the final speed to the value, so you can't increase that with any boots or SnY. Also not mentioned, but if you achieve max movespeed (522), the moment you do that there is a sonicboom, that deals 100 damage in 900 AoE.
Mana Cost: 130/140/150/175
Cooldown: 35
Framework: A jet of flames spout from behind the hero and the hero flies. Afer you reach 522 movespeed, a sonicboom effect similar to a KotL's blinding light animation happens.
Notes: An escape or a chase skill.

Energy Cell (C)
The Ironman armor was built as a method of keeping Tony Stark alive from his injury. By changing the efficiency of the battery on various locations, he can draw more power, but at the risk of killing him.
Level 1 - Power focus Chetsplate: 5% damage reduction. Power focus Battlesuit: 9% damage damage increase, BAT reduced by 5%, 10 HP/sec degeneration. High risk of killing Tony.
Level 2 - Power focus Chetsplate: 10% damage reduction. Power focus Battlesuit: 18% damage damage increase, BAT reduced by 10%, 15 HP/sec degeneration. High risk of killing Tony.
Level 3 - Power focus Chetsplate: 15% damage reduction. Power focus Battlesuit: 27% damage damage increase, BAT reduced by 15%, 20 HP/sec degeneration. Medium risk of killing Tony.
Level 4 - Power focus Chetsplate: 15% damage reduction, +5 HP regen. Power focus Battlesuit: 36% damage damage increase, BAT reduced by 20%, 25 HP/sec degeneration. Low risk of killing Tony.
This is a toggle spell. You can choose power focus on any part, and that will show up near the attribute bonus icon. When you select this spell, Chestplate power focus is automatically selected. Chance of killing Tony occurs when the hero is below 15% health. Every 1.5 seconds, a trigger rolls at a (high risk=1/7, medium risk=1/8, low risk=1/9) chance. If it triggers, then the hero dies. You lose money, enemies don't gain experience and it says on screen as "******** was killed." You need to wait for 10 seconds to toggle between forms.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Framework: When Battlesuit is powered up, a red glow. When Chestplate is powered up, a yellow glow.
Notes: Either tanking strength or massive attack force in expense of life. You choose.

The Extremis Process (X)
Tony Stark, in order to heal from the nerve damage imposed on him by the armor, injects his system with a modified techno-organic virus. This enhances both his armor and his own skills. Even though Tony has already modifies his nervous system, a second infection provides instant healing.
Level 1 - Passive: Increases spell damage dealt by 20%. Increases sight by 20% Enhances armor by 2. Item related chance-triggering actions have 15% more chance of happening. Active: Heals 200 HP.
Level 2 - Passive: Increases spell damage dealt by 40%. Increases sight by 40% Enhances armor by 4. Item related chance-triggering actions have 30% more chance of happening. Active: Heals 400 HP.
Level 3 - Passive: Increases spell damage dealt by 65%. Increases sight by 60% Enhances armor by 5. Item related chance-triggering actions have 45% more chance of happening. Active: Heals 600 HP.
Level 4 - N/A
Acts as a passive and a point heal. Heal only works on yourself.
Mana Cost: 100/200/300
Cooldown: 65
Framework: A shadowstrike effect when healing, then an omniknight's purification effect when healing, normal otherwise.
Notes: A skill that increases your effectiveness all over.

Tell me, how's this hero, any good? If not, I will create another submission, of Yoh Asakura of Shaman King.

This is great! Maybe just nerf the Beam (increase the mana cost and/or cooldown), otherwise... excellent.

Its nice. A lot of toggle skills lol. Makes your hero very versatile and situation-efficient. He reminds me of tinker cuz of his beam. Pretty good i would have to say but it sorta looks like he'll have a mana problem. I rate it 3.9/5. Also check out my hero for BC Elektra =D.

"Item related chance-triggering actions have 45% more chance of happening." Would this that Tony will have 75% evasion instead of 30? Or a 60% chance to maim with S&Y instead of 15? Or 70% chance to bash with basher?
If this is the case. I belive it should be nerfed quite fast.

Dont mean to be a party pooper, but.... This is DotA, not some Marvel, or whatever Ironman is game, the hero itself is good, but the concept of it being a superhero, Im not too sure about, maybe you can adapt it to make it like a fantasy character, of the same ambient as everyone else in DotA of course.
