Tide Hunter vs. Skeleton King, what items?

It was only the other day when I played a 1v1 -apemom. Foolishly I picked first to get my favourite Tide Hunter. I ended up facing The Skeleton King and thought it would be a pretty fair match.

Early game I was able to get many kills while The Skeleton King would waste his mana trying to stun me and was then unable to revive.

Although I was getting great items that had effects like bash, lifesteal e.t.c in then end The Skeleton Kings revive became quite an annoyance and caused me to loose in the end.

What items could have been my ideal build against The Skeleton King?

Reincarnation needs mana to activate, just get a good agi hero + Manta (as of 6.59) or Diffusal (as of 6.60)

Lifesteal, Crit, bulk AS.
Necros CAN help.

Don't bother getting ulti. Instead, max up kraken shell.

Skeleto king is a tank/dps and carry.. Tide is a support and tank.. How do you expect to win?

jovica has a point there...On the other hand...

Try getting Necro, then Hyperstone and Diffusal.Manaburn FTW!

how is tide a carry and not support and tank. Tide isnt item dependent but that doesnt mean that he isnt good without items.

@topic

imo, the best item build should be sth like this:

PT
Satanic (or leave it as hotd)
Bfly (great counter to dps, also very high dps boost to urself)
BF (early bf can help u harrass easily when last hitting since both are melee, regen is also nice)
MKB or Basher (MKB if sk is buying evasion, if not, basher since its 1v1)

i would go some hp/lifesteal (satanic), a lot of armor (shiva's and blade mail or assault), and dif blade ^^

i would buy just that talisman of evasion :P with that 3200 better to buy Reaver XD

tide probably cant win sk in a 1v1. 100 sec cooldown of his reinarnate. thats too fast, unless you can burn his mana. i think necro book will give u a chance of winning. or else any other item u get wont work since sk is just better in 1v1.

sk has natural lifesteal, crit and stun. although tide has a stun, its an ulti with horrible cooldown. if u want items, necro book is the only thing. get wat others said anyway cause they might work

i would suggest manta, diffusal, BF, treads, vlads, cuirass. burn his mana so he cant reincarnate plus you have a pushing power.

don't force diffusal on tidehunter, i know it burns mana, but if sk gets some mana-pool or regen tool, it wouldnt matter.. tide's horrid AS can't support diffusal.. i agree with others that tide can't win SK 1vs1, they're both str.. but the stun changes it.. SK has missile stun, tide has an aoe stun for an ulti.. but sk's stun has faster cooldown.. what do you expect? so battlefury does the trick.. the splash will kinda harass him.. and add some int items (shiva is probably the best for him since slowing thingy at an aoe hurts SK's already horrid atkspeed but guinsoo is also good considering the disable).. or else.. the next time you kinda fight.. go get Magina.. or get one wtfpawnzored hero like ES.. then chip in Necro at ES and does the trick.. Somehow, if he's a really pro player.. you'll have a hard time defeating him, cause he's so expert with all the heroes + item builds

just buy PT BF hotd. then spam hypers. buy talisman if necessary. speed to abuse anchor smash is important, it's better than MKB.

you cant burn much mana with diffusal to make a difference on SK, but winning doesnt necessarily means a lot of kills. just rape towers
