tell us how new you are. If your somewhat advanced, VS or pudge make great picks. Even NA is hard without basics. If this is your 1st month i suggest you lay off the killing and choose a tank with a stun to get a feel for ganking first. Once you know how to set up a gank, any hero with nukes or targetable stuns will make a good killer.

Dont tell him Kardel if hes new, he will just feed as they are too weak. Try strength based heroes, such as Barathrum and perhaps Huskar if you want to try ranged. Beef up his hp and use burning spear and his ulti to kill.

Sorry, didn't read the "I'm-new-to-dota" part. The following heroes I recommend are Huskar, Sniper (with Windwalk), Zeus, lion, drow (with Windwalk), Vengeful Spirit, Viper, and last AND least..Troll Warlord.

Try these heroes. They are simple, click-and-own type heroes. Drow, Sniper, and Troll needs Windwalk for survivability. Viepr and Drow are orb-walkers. So it helps you be more active during laning, and not just auto-attack.

A melee hero is not suggested due to last hitting being hard for newbies. But Sandking is an exception due to the hero's superb lane control.

if you mean with mid-lategame assassinator a hero that can kill another single hero within short time, i would go with ursa.

Mortred, Troll, Riki and Gondar really are the basic of late-game killers. If proper fed of course.

I depends on who the enemy's are, how well you're farmed, and the skill level. Pudge can be a beast ganker even through late game when your enemies are CM, Lina, Ezalor, etc. A well-farmed Barathrum can be almost unstoppable. And almost any hero can score lots of kills against notice players

n/c on the sniper bit.

sniper is one of the best noob friendly heros in the game dude.sniper farms alot better than bara and can ks better since he in still a newb.

try sniper,riki,ursa,troll,void and pa(if you know how to last hit)

I'd actually suggest Nerubian Weaver, Riki, Sniper, Drow.

When you get a bit more adept, heroes like Ursa, Lina/Lion might catch your attention.

When you feel familiair with the basics in the game, I'd suggest PotM, Pudge, Clockwerk, Storm and Shadow Fiend. They aren't exactly "noob friendly" though, but they have such a huge potential at killing, and they are fun to play.

Viper is VERY easy and can unload lots of dps. The nice thing is, he slows the enemy an extreme amount so you dont have to do much to kill ><
