Is it a Rubik's brand 4x4x4? I guess you will need to lubricate it to play it smooth. Mines like that at first but after I put silicone, it works just like a normal 3x3x3. Check out bigcubes.com. Probably the best site to learn how to solve it and also check out Chris Hardwick's simultaneous edge pairing guide.

@topika007
4x4x4s are usually hard to turn... just keep playing it and it should get better. Which type did you get?

Mine is the Rubik's brand.
I can solve it. But the parity errors require that really really long algorithm.
I can simultaneously pair 2 edges at a time.
Doing 3 at a time takes too long.

For some reason, when I first started 4x4x4, I had more fun taking it apart and putting it back together than solvin it

Yeah. Rubik's 4x4x4 falls apart in your hands. It is so hard to use. Getting locked every turn.

Did you put some lubricant just like what I said? If not, it won't be smooth as it should be and the parts will only loosen quickly because of much friction.

Is that a Rubik's brand cube you used in your video? Seems that it was locking. That was a two step PLL there. Nice solve btw.

Whoa so many cubists, Nice.

My best time is around 40 and I average 45 seconds(Same time I use to farm up radiance in this one game with Centaur where I got Rampage kill omgwtf...)

anyway....

Like most of you I use the F2L and the noob method for the 3rd layer.

I love the rubik's mirror...just beautiful. Can solve it in as much time as the 4x4x4 ..about 5 mins

There's something even better looking if you have the $$ ...it's called the Rubik's touch cube.....omg. Google it.

@nudels, woof 20 seconds....nice....The guy who taught me solves it in that much time. He's learned the blindfold too
