Hm...I like the tank build most, get some nulls, Pt and Hood, then Hex...If you have the money, get HoT...
Dagger is stupid...it gives you an escape mechanism, a trick to deal some heavy damage on 1 strike..but that's just it...also, that is prevented by 1 single strike of any kind...even some annoying small DoTs...It's not worth it
Orchid rush is something you shouldn't do on her...silence, attack speed and regen are great, but she is paper thin, and can be shut down by any nuker...although you can silence 1, a good team has UP TO 3 NUKERS, so forget about it...
Hood (and later maybe Pipe) gives you good protection against enemy spellcasting, and then comes hex, which gives some mediocre HP (which is more than enough for her), good mana and mana regen, plus a disable that is of better use than a dagger (you may be able to hit once for good damage with dagger, but isn't it better to hit like 5 times around 100+ dmg with hex?).
HoT is a logical item to tank her up...with that, you have mana and regen to cast impetus, but still have survivability(too much you may say
) to be able to cast it all you want..._________________

Depends what you can farm, the team needs, and how fast you can farm something.
To answer the question to you, Ablah;
It depends on how far away Ezalor is. The max range is 2500, if you break that, you wont get any bonusdamage on the Impetus, just your regular damage.

The old enchantress impetus was as follows:
Level 1 - Deals 4% of the distance in damage.
Level 2 - Deals 8% of the distance in damage.
Level 3 - Deals 12% of the distance in damage.
Level 4 - Deals 16% of the distance in damage.
I think it does a max damage of +400... I agree with Looney Tunes on the dagger... Impetus and dagger away from the opponent causes the impetus damage to almost be double the standard damage(You have to be quick though to dagger away before the impetus hits the hero) - another option is force staff... maybe forcestaff and dagger? - if your using shortcuts or have super fast fingers!
Personally I prefer getting guinsoo(as it is just as good as orchid(silence) but also makes the enemy hero much slower! - not to forget the hp points from the ultimate orb, int gain from mystic and mana regen from void stone

Go Phase or Treads first for mobility and killing.
Then go Bloodstone for HP and Mana.
Other team will be saying
"Sh*t this Enchantress B*tch is really annoying with her untouchable."
"Leader says. "Go Nuke him" Lion, Zeus, Potm etc.
Go Hood of Defiance.

And get 2500 distance between you and your opponent and not being able to hit again...is it better to land 1 hit with 400 dmg or 4-5 with 150+ dmg?

@Felix: agreed... and well, it obviously depends... You cant be daggering away if the hero has high hp(maybe if you are using it for spamming)... but it can be a good way to finish of the hero when he is rather low(red)... If two/three impetus shots are required to kill the hero rather than chasing behind tower(or risk being ganked by other enemy heroes) and risk you dying... this one shot(and daggering back) might be able to do the trick...
Sometimes you get bored playing some heros (I do sometimes playing enchantress, troll etc) So, doing these things just adds a bit of variety...
... but dagger is surely not a core item for enchantress according to me...Back to top
Bloodstone is core. After that go for a shivas. That's all you really need. Getting phase is better than BOT or pt. So you won't get stuck on creeps. After that get a hyperstone so you can throw more impetus.
