Pugna problem...

hey, i really need some help here, can anyone give me a suitable strategy to defeat Pugna, The Oblivion? He's a real pain in the neck with his anti-mana ward and his soul steal(ulti) can anyone give me any tips and strategy to defeat him, let say by using an INT hero? Whether or not i am facing a player using Pugna or fighting an AI Pugna, i always have problems dealing with him. Anyone, a few tips and strategies please?

Plenty of in heroes can own pugna. You need in heroes who have good DPS even without their nukes. Heroes like Silencer, Akashia, and Furion to name a few.

get a stunner int hero and when he cast his ulti stun him and when he put the ward stun pugna and destroy the ward and the hero may be ogre magi bec. of his high health and his multicast!!! but you must build a aghanim's scepter as fast as you could

Just pick someoene who has stun or disable abilities to stop his life drain and then kill his ward! Very Happy

Use Nukers... By kelens.. when she starts using his last skill.. blink away or just Stun him if you have one..

you can go for bane elemental, when he cast decrepify then netherblast on you, use brain sap, then when he use a ward, nightmare him then destroy the ward, then when he uses Life Steal, use your Fiends Grip

Well, I havent tried this so it's only a theory, but wouldn't yurnero's blade fury protect him from the ward? Doesn't it give magic immunity?
If so, then pugna would be easily owned by yurnero just buy boots, hide in the forest and when you see him blade fury and chase him....
His hp is like nothing so you should be able to take him out that way...
Beware though, because your hp is also small...

Slayer, Ogre Magi, and Techies are good INT choices to beat Puggerz. So is Rhasta, Jakiro, Storm, Dazzle, and just about any other hero in DotA at all. It's all about player skill, just like any other match-up.

Agreed. Pugna can be countered by int who got stuns and disablers. if he decrepify you, he is giving you the chance to nuke him with all of your spells. don't forget you can still cast spell so use your guinsso and hurt him!!! Be smarter than your opponent and predict his movements and actions.
