Nether Swap - Vengeful Spirit

Posted: Tue Jun 05, 2007 9:49 am

Can anyone please tell me about the strategy for Vengeful Spirit's Nether Swap? I understand that it could be made to switch places to somewhere near a tower, or the Firebush so that the enemy receives heavy damage, and also in team battles you could also switch places so that they are within range of your allies' killing range. But is there any other strategies for this ulti? Wouldn't it be quite useless if you were fighting one on one and your enemy has a very high level? If its like that you only can switch places with him near the FireBush to weaken him..pls give a few tips and strategies about this ulti

Virtually what can be done with this skill is said in your post. In 1v1 games, Nether Swap is nearly useless as there are no allies nearby.

When your team is pushing, and the enemies are at the tower defending. Your job as Vengeful Spirit is to cast Nether Swap on the most dangerous enemy. The enemy will be in the middle of all your allies, ensuring a quick death and hard escape. For you to escape, just run. The enemy most probably isn't prepared for a Nether Swap, so that should give you time to run away from stuns/disables, unlike your team, which is already expecting a Nether Swap, thus they prepared for an attack on the hero that got swapped.

The combo is: Nether Swap + Magic Missile + Run from enemy + Attack.

For 1v1 games, you can only depend on your third skill, and Magic Missle to win. Other than that, swapping enemies to your tower or fountains is the only way.

Well the only way I would see someone using NS in a 1v1 is if they are dominating the hero and they are using it to stop the hero from fleeing. But if u want other team strats than just swapping into fountain or tower well u can try the bloodseeker + Vengful combo. Rupture a hero and then Swap. The hero will take a lot of damage so u can get the kill.

Not necessarily. When Nether Swapped and Ruptured, the enemy can still stop moving.

A Pudge + Blood Seeker combo is more effective, but VS isn't included, so that's not a combo. Sad

why use Vengeful for a 1 on 1?

if you think about it almost all of her skill is too help her allies kill one of the enemies and give your team the upperhand

anyway i saw this player who use swap just to confuse the enemy

What are the odds of repicking into Vengeful Spirit? Not common.

Another combo is VS + Rhasta. Ask the Rhasta to ward-trap you, and when an enemy lingers by, Swap him in. Stun + Shackles and let the wards focus fire on him. Confirm kill.

Here's what does vengeful do for the team. She places wards all over the map and by doing so is able to see the enemy heroes grouped together. She then tells he allies to get ready to kill the hero she's about to swap. She picks out the most threatening hero in the group, swaps, and casts terror on all the remaining heroes. The team kills of the lone hero where as Vengeful tries to escape Via lothars, manta, or simply running away amidst the confusion.

If your enemy is pushing a tower, stand in the forest near it, hidden. When the tower's health is deniable, swap him and deny your tower.
When your team is pushing retreat, and find your way through the forest, near your team. When an enemy with an AoE spell runs in to the middle of your guys and activates his spell, swap him, keeping your whole team safe, then keep on pushing.

fwii~ couldn't have put it better. Don't bother using vengeful if you don't like ward power, prefer lone ranger shows and can't stand the thought of dying. I don't know why, but a lot of ppl in GG just leave when they can't handle the stress of being 1st blood or harassed like hell.

Agreed. Vengeful Spirit is not only good in team. She has powerful skills to help her solo an hero. Extra damage, Stun, Damage reduction and Armor reduction. Good enough. Nether Swap can still be used if your enemy is fleeing. She a great hero in every aspect. I'm pretty sure she is the only agility hero who has a stunning nuke.
