What do u think is the best anti virus? And what will u suggest to use? And why? (McAfee, Norton, AVG, Norman, Kaspersky, etc...). And it's said that 2 anti virus can not work together (don't stack ^^), is it including anti-brontok, anti-trojan, etc...?

I have a computer whiz friend and he says Norton is the best. He also says 2 anti-virus programs make the computer lag because they will keep scanning each other. Anti-adware/spyware/firewall shouldn't 'stack' though IIRC.

My whiz friend likes to say to you all that AVG is nice but freebies are always inferior to real products. Hence Norton or the not-free AVG.

Well most of u use AVG... Do u think its updates can be sent in ZIP files (as little as possible) via email? Because upgrading via internets is really tiring for me. The upgrade's size is around 8 mb (the smallest one). And it takes hours from my dial up connection, speed of which only around 38 kbps. @_@

I think AVG sets up its updates automatically, it takes 5 seconds for DSL anf a minute for Dial-up if the update is done daily, but you can set everything up in the Security Center, where you can schedule scans and updates

IIRC, it's about 8mb for the simple update and it can take more than 1 hour to update. And what's more, it got error when has reached 100% ><. Well, I dunno. May be must check it again.

I think your update got accumulated, if your update is being used daily, your 8MB will be broken to few bits of KB, it happened to me too

Guys AVG is just ok, but it can't be compared to more professional antiviruses. NOD32 for me even if it is a nightmare to use and only Kaspersky is slightly inferior to it.
